Strengths: Extremely Fast with USDMA Card. Some photos are very sharp.Very fast camera with USDMA card. Resolution is great and color of photos is good.

Weaknesses: Too Heavy ! Some photos are blurry when taken from a distance. CR2 files need additional software to handle. The battery goes down quickly.

Summary: This camera is very heavy with the f2.8 zoom 70-200mm L lens.I should not miss an action shot because the camera shoots 6 frames/sec. I had to buy a battery case & handle to have the capacity I needed to shoot many photos. I also bought a fast card with 8 GB capacity. I had to upgrade to Lightroom 2 and then upgrade it to process the three Raw types of output. Canon should tell you this up front. At this point, I am trying to decide whether to keep this camera or return it and keep my reliable, lightweight Rebel XSi.

Strengths: Very easy to use, even for a disabled person

Weaknesses: Nothing really

Summary: I have been a Canon fan from the late seventies. Am not a pro, but advanced user. The one draw back that I have now that I did not deal with is being disabled with MS. Meaning my eyesight is not all that great, I tend to shake at times, and have not found a camera that could help me enough under $2,000. Am not into the point and shoot cameras, and the others in the lower price range just did not seem to put out the photos I like to do. Am into dog shows, meaning moving dog shots for form and function of the breed without any blurring. Was so happy with just about every shot I have taken from day one of my getting this camera. The nature shots have the clear crisp look I put into my work, and when enlarged still look fantastic! For someone who was thinking I had to give up one of my favorite things, photography, due to my health declining just got a second chance of life it seems.

Strengths: Faster then the 40D and much cleaner pictures with the DIGIC 4 processor. Even at 6400 ISO using the high filter setting. It was equal to 40D's 3200 ISO shots.

Weaknesses: Wish the ISO scale from 100 to 6400 was graduated in 1/3 increments like the NIKON D3. Understand the New Mark II 5D is.

Summary: Great camera. A must purchase if your an advanced shooter or a professional looking for a back up model. I shoot Women's Gymnastics and use the 6400 ISO 95% of the time with a 70-200 F28 IS lens.
