Strengths: Slim design, shooting mode options, price

Weaknesses: No view finder. Picture quality is not the greatest.

Summary: I recently decided to upgrade from a Traveler brand camera and was picky about it having to be slim, take an SD card, and use a rechargeable lithium ion battery. This had it all and was one of the cheapest cameras with over 7 MP out there. And it's great. The picture quality is so much better than I was getting with the other camera and I think I paid even less for this one. I've only had a problem at an indoor graduation ceremony. I tried several shooting modes, zoomed and no zoom, and they were all bad. But everyone in the place was complaining of the same thing with their cameras too. And on the video mode, the sound records quietly. Other than that I love it and recommend it if you're looking for a quality affordable slim camera!

Strengths: Size, weight, battery life, VERY easy to use.

Weaknesses: For the price, none really. Plastic case scratches easily.

Summary: I bought this camera to fill in for when I don't feel like lugging around my DSLR. It's barely larger than a cell phone so it fits easily in the pocket of my jeans or even my shirt. The menus are easy to navigate and it is easy to take decent pictures in most conditions. I've owned it for 2 months and I've only had to charge the battery twice. The picture quality is not going to match a DLSR, but that is to be expected from something this price and size. There is some barrel distortion at wide angle and low light with no flash is hard to shoot without blur. Overall, it is a great buy for around $100. I still prefer my DLSR, but this camera fills a specific need and it does so very well.

Weaknesses: No video capabilityLimited wide angle coverage

Summary: I bought this camera in a jam because I forgot my digital camera on vacation. The photos are very good for the price. Unfortunately, there is no video capability and the camera is rather slow between snapshots, which may be a function of the memory card that I am using (Sandisk Ultra II). It is small and light enough for your front pocket. As in the title, it covers the basic camera functions but you shouldn't expect much more unless you are willing to move to the next price point. Solid camera for its category.

Strengths: small size, easy to use, good pricing point, takes great pictures!

Weaknesses: average zoom range

Summary: I was looking for a small and easy to use camera that takes great pictures under most conditions. I went to a local Circuit City to see what is available at the moment. I tried this camera and loved the results that I saw. It's priced very competitively consider the competitions. It's small but pictures aren't blurry even if you don't have a steady hand while taking pictures. It's easy to use and I think it makes a great beginner's camera for anyone who enjoys taking every day casual snapshots. I would recommend this camera over the others in it's price range and class.
