Strengths: small, great images, long battery.
Weaknesses: none that we have found.
Summary: Great Product. We were happy with the small size. We have been tired of those large oversized point and shots. The images are very sharp and great. It does anything those bigger point and shots can do.

Strengths: Very compact, Panasonic's Optical Image Stabilizer, Flash is good in dark
Weaknesses: some images were "Soft", higher ISO makes noisy images
Summary: I love Panasonic's Lumix line. They were the first to launch the Highest 10X Optical zoom in a compact model (DMC-TZ1). This is also a great camera for simple point & shoot functionality. The pictures come out crisp and clear. My only gripe would be anything over ISO 800 has a Lot a Noise but thats expected with most cameras in its category. Personally i find panasonics LCDs very clear & bright. Finally given the quality of images in a compact camera that fits in my pocket as well as affordable, i feel its worth every penny.

Strengths: Excellent little camera, small for anyone who just wants performance in a small package. Black! looks professional. 7.2 MP.
Weaknesses: Zoom could be a little more but w/e
Summary: I have only had this camera a few days and it has exceeded all of my expectations. The battery life is excellent. I used it for over 14 hours turning it on and off and taking over 230 pictures before the battery died on me. Picture quality is crisp and clear. The only time I could get a blurry picture is when I had the digital zoom on max, and when I force turned off the flash.

Strengths: Good Picture quality, strong construction, competitive price
Weaknesses: 3x zoom
Summary: I wanted a reasonably priced small camera that would be both small enough and durable enough to fit in my pocket; this camera fit the bill. The camera is feature packed and is of almost all metal construction. It has great optics and takes high quality photographs. This camera may be in the 7 MP range which I suppose is on the low end these days, but does a casual photographer really need any more? I would rather pay a bit less and buy the slightly lower mega pixel camera (which means more pictures per SD card).

Strengths: Small, image stabilization, excellent price, leica lens, 20 scene modes
Weaknesses: only 3x optical zoom,
Summary: I've had this camera only for a week but I already am enjoying the features especially the image stabilization. Keeps my pictures sharp even with my shaky hands. Beautiful pictures and vibrant colours. I wish that the optical zoom would have been longer and the lcd screen bigger ( 3 inches or better ).

Strengths: Great body, good lens, lots of photo with one charge of battery
Weaknesses: DC adapter not supplied. Picture little bit grainy in darkness.
Summary: Panasonic DMC-FX12K is a great compact camera the body is hard built with two battery lock. The flash is very powerful and with a single charge of battery it can take more than 300 photo. It has lot of features and mode in it, with world clock. The picture quality is very good. With a 4GB SDHC it can take more than 1100 pictures at 7MP. Overall I love it.

Strengths: size,leica lense,optical stabalizer,untimed video,long battery life,auto focus system,and multi burst mode.
Weaknesses: I found no real weakness,I did find it was a bit hard to focus on a close up in the macro mode.
Summary: This is not my first Panasonic/Lumix camera, this time we wanted something very small that took great pictures and could be purchased (new only) at a reasonable price. The FX12K (the K means black)fits this perfectly. You can dial up the simple mode, the heart on the mode wheel and you have an automatic point and shoot camera,or you can go to the normal camera mode and play with the settings. This model features intelligent ISO, so there is rarely a need to play with the speed settings, the high ISO settings can produce a grainy picture. The optical (in the lense) stabalizer is standard on Panasonic digital cameras, this feature prevents bluring because of camera movement. The new Venus 3 engine is desined to give in excess of 300 shots per charge on the battery, and it does.If your going to travel, a universal charger is included that is 50/60 cycles and 110-240 volts. So Far every picture we have taken with the new camera has been sharp and clear. We are usuing a SanDisk Ultimate II SD memory card to take advantage of the high speed mode,(3 frames per second)and a very fast shutter, there is almost no lag between shots.
