Strengths: Excellent picture quality. Lite & easy enough to use 1 handed (even with gloves on)with little to no arm fatigue after recording 1 full disk. Image stabilization is above average.

Weaknesses: No USB or fire wire connections. Need to purchase optional hi-power battery.

Summary: I have used just about every brand of camera on the market. & Canon's optics are still the best. Excellent picture quality even when viewed on 42" plasma. Image clarity & stabilization are show cased when watching video recorded from a motorcycle even when recorded 1 handed with gloves on (engine & road vibration were cancelled) . Have & will recommend this camera to anyone that is looking for a full feature, small format, reasonably priced video camera.

Summary: Canon DC310 is a great product for the price. It is a solid DVD camcorder for every day use. If you want to make quick videos using a DVD camcorder, you should consider this. It is very easy to record movies using the camcorder and play the videos onto your TV.
