Strengths: Video quality is dam good. Light Weight , small size , I can put it in my trouser's pocket

Weaknesses: Low battery life, but hardly matters , I'v got an additional one.

Summary: I love this camcorder, besides me my son Tavneet, 11 yrs, is too happy b'coz now he does'nt have to change the dvd after every 25 mins of so, as in the comcorder I had earlier. Thanks to Sony...

Strengths: Very good video quality. Light weight.

Weaknesses: Still photo quality is not so good.

Summary: Sony SR45 is very good camcorder. Light weight. Video quality is excellent. We need not worry about DVD or Minidv cassettes. It has got 30 GB hard drive. We can record continuously for more than 10 hours. It worth for the money. 40x optical zoom is very good.

Weaknesses: Still photo quality is not so good.

Summary: Sony SR45 is very good handycam. It is very easy to use. Very light weight. Good quality video. Need not carry DVDs or MiniDvs. 30 GB hard disk is more than sufficient. Zoom is very good (40x optical zoom). Only one weakness in this handycam is the still picture quality is not so good but it is ok. Worth for the money.

Summary: I love that I don't have to use mini DVDs or tapes anymore. The picture quality on the screen is great! I love the touch screen operation and the ability to edit my videos easily.

Weaknesses: on off switch works on a little green notch which is a bit annoying, lens opening and closing is manual

Summary: This is a GREAT comcorder and I am very happy with this. Zoom is really great. 40x optical is too good. battery life is very nice (~2 hrs with the abttery that comes with it) but you always need a extra battery with any camera / camcorder so you need one for this too!! Its very handy and very small.. almost pocket size. 30GB hard drive is more than sufficient for most occusations!! lens are a bit annoying but its not a big problem. Overall its a great camcorder again from Sony!!

Strengths: Light Weight making it easy to carry or hold. Memory stick option in addition to 30 GB HDD

Weaknesses: Small LCD screen.

Summary: Very easy to handle compared to other similar models in the market. It will good if the LCD screen is little bigger. I like the memory stick option to store the video, so that you can easily remove the stick and transfer videos to the computer. So far I didn't find any cons. Even though the battery life is good, it's better to carry an additional battery. I defenitely recommened this model. Shop around to good price.

Summary: If you are looking for a small camcorder to film life-events - than this is it! Make sure you get a second battery and perhaps battery charger, as you can only charge batteries when it is in the camera.

Summary: I'm overall happy with my selection of this camera.The 30GB hard disk in default mode can take 700 minutes of video,It has nightplus feature and 40x zoom that enabled me to take clear picture of NY skyline. i like the image captured.The stills are also fine.The weakness i can think of is low battery life.The battery last for less than 90min, so suggest you to have an extra battery for a long trip.
