Summary: Bought this for our 5-1/2 year old son but my husband and I have been using it for guitar hero. Great product, easy to install/set up. Wish the games were not so expensive though.

Strengths: simplicity in using console
Weaknesses: the only weakness is the person using it
Summary: My husband uses the Wii every morning as an exercise program. He enjoys it more than going to gym. The games are good because as you improve it gets more challenging.

Strengths: It's motion-controlled (mostly), the next-gen of video gaming experience. Great internet interface and allows me to resurrect nostalgic games from old systems (Super Mario, etc.).
Weaknesses: Motion control is still in it's infancy. Most games don't utilize it like they should. Graphics are somewhat cartoony.
Summary: What else is there to say except that Nintendo actually found a way to get more money out of their patents for the power glove and power pad (anymore born after 1990 won't understand what I'm talking about). Motion controlled video gaming is the future and Nintendo is at the forefront. The Wii allows anyone to stop going to smoky bars to play virtual golf or bowling and do it from the comfort of their living room. My mom wants a Wii now and she never cared for video games before. The controls are easy to master, I just wish they had more games that utilized the motion controls to their fullest (give it a few years I'm sure). Once Wii Fit comes out, expect it all to change again. For the better. Yes, PS3 and W-Box 360 have better graphics, but the Wii is leagues ahead in terms of making video gaming an experience and everyone should have one in their house. No doubt about it.

Strengths: Lots of funInteractiveInvites physical exercise
Weaknesses: Not quite as responsive to player movements as hoped - especially in boxing - however I've never been a gamer before so how would I know...
Summary: A great reason to get together with friends and share some laughs - what could be more important than that?It inspires physical activity unlike other game systems so I think that is great! It's simply a lot of fun - even for a soon to be 50 year old woman - and my college kid is jealous! I love that part :)

Strengths: Great colors, connects to the internet easily.
Weaknesses: Not many game titles.
Summary: I have the Wii for one month, it is real fun, the remote unit is awesome, the games that come with it are OK. Unfortunately there are not many games in the market for it, very limited number of titles. I went to GameStop and could barely find a game I liked.

Strengths: unique controllers, compact (unlike other consoles), durable, reasonable price (again, in comparison to other consoles), downloadable games w. internet connection
Weaknesses: lack of variety in games, no multi-player online
Summary: Most of the Wii's game selection are geared towards children, but that doesn't necessarily mean they're not fun for those a bit older as well (like me and my husband!) Both my 7 and 15 year old enjoy the same games, but I would've liked to see more of a variety for them to choose from. I like the fact that the console itself is compact enough to fit in most places, and it's very easy to pack up if the kids want to bring it to their friends' houses. We also enjoy the fact that most games require the kids to be active due to the motion-sensitive controller, rather than sit on the couch holding a remote for hours at a time! The only complaint I've heard so far is from my 15 year old who would've liked to play online with his friends. Other than that, I did appreciate how inexpensive the Wii was in comparison to the Playstation3 and Xbox 360. A bit hard to find in the stores (due to the low cost, I imagine), but definitely worth the money and wait.

Weaknesses: Batteries go fast in remote replace often. Best to get rechargables.
Summary: Gaming system is fun for the entire family. Easy to setup and use. Comes with a set of sports games which are quite entertaining. Extra remote is desired for two player games. Sharing a remote is a little bothersome with the wrist straps.
