Strengths: NONE
Weaknesses: will not work
Summary: purchased the WII, hooked it up all we got was feedback from the TV. Called Nintendo Support, they walked us thru the set up on 2 separate TV,s they said it must be bad unit. Contacted seller, he says we must pay for shipping back then they will decide what to do. This was a Christmas gift, now I wont know probably until after Christmas.

Strengths: Product is very good at handling the remote interface.
Weaknesses: Cooling system design for setting up the Wii in the vertical position is poor. Need to add a cooling fan to ensure that the unit does not overheat!!!!
Summary: Console works very well and handles the interactive interface with remotes quite well. No problems to date and suggest you purchase remote charging battery packs so you won't wonder what's happening in the middle of a game when the batteries go weak.

Strengths: Very realistic play.
Weaknesses: Graphics not quite as good as XBox360 or PS3.
Summary: What a hit with everyone! Good family entertainment. Bowling is realistic. Golf - strokes are a bit touchy but easily mastered with practice and patience. Boxing is strenous but great fun.

Strengths: great for kids and entertaining a group
Weaknesses: a little harder for the "older", not so computer literate folks. It's been out for a long time, although hard to get, the thrill of having it is gone.
Summary: Wii has been so hard to find I was tickeled when I did find it finally. However, I guess it took me too long, because it seems now that the family isn't as excited about it and would rather sell it and purchase something else. I think we've used it too many times at others homes and the thrill is gone.

Strengths: Interactive gameplay is unrivaled by other consoles.
Weaknesses: Graphics output tops out at 480p, if you by component cables. Well short of the 1080i that is output by other platforms.
Summary: So far, so good. This makes you the coolest kid on your block. Everyone of all ages and of gaming ability has fun with this console. Online play and the ability to download old NES games (for a price) is pretty sweet.

Strengths: Easy to setup and use. Nice family fun.
Weaknesses: Batteries go fast in remote replace often. Best to get rechargables.
Summary: Gaming system is fun for the entire family. Easy to setup and use. Comes with a set of sports games which are quite entertaining. Extra remote is desired for two player games. Sharing a remote is a little bothersome with the wrist straps.

Summary: I weighed a lot of factors before deciding which platform to go with and in spite of the screen resolution issue (exacerbated by the fact that I have a large 1080p LCD flatscreen) I\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'m really happy with the decision to go with the Wii.

Strengths: unique controllers, compact (unlike other consoles), durable, reasonable price (again, in comparison to other consoles), downloadable games w. internet connection
Weaknesses: lack of variety in games, no multi-player online
Summary: Most of the Wii's game selection are geared towards children, but that doesn't necessarily mean they're not fun for those a bit older as well (like me and my husband!) Both my 7 and 15 year old enjoy the same games, but I would've liked to see more of a variety for them to choose from. I like the fact that the console itself is compact enough to fit in most places, and it's very easy to pack up if the kids want to bring it to their friends' houses. We also enjoy the fact that most games require the kids to be active due to the motion-sensitive controller, rather than sit on the couch holding a remote for hours at a time! The only complaint I've heard so far is from my 15 year old who would've liked to play online with his friends. Other than that, I did appreciate how inexpensive the Wii was in comparison to the Playstation3 and Xbox 360. A bit hard to find in the stores (due to the low cost, I imagine), but definitely worth the money and wait.
