Strengths: Great sound- low distortion- lots of inputs- great price
Weaknesses: Should have been produced & sold years ago...
Summary: I just replaced an old JVC receiver with this product. It has so many inputs. I have connected: HD Satellite Dish, Playstation 2, Wii, DVD player, CD player & cassette deck. The connection to my HDTV was simple. The sound is incredible & I haven't even played with the equalizer or custom sound settings yet. With a THD of .05%, there is very little (no?) distortion at high volume. Receivers at twice this price have THD (Total Harmonic Distortion) levels of .5% - 1.0%. This is truly an amazing receiver for $275.

Strengths: easy to set up, good price, great sound, cool lights
Weaknesses: none that i can think
Summary: I've never had a receiver before so this is my first purchase of something like this. The price was right ($255 from amazon) and it's this year's model. There are nice blue lights and the receiver is very easy to set up. I connected the speakers to it and followed the instructions in the manual to go through setting up the auto calibration. It went through and tested all 5 channels for me in just a few minutes. It's been a month and I'm very satisfied with the receiver! I'd give it a 5 out of 5 myself but I'll stay conservative and rate it a 4 since I have nothing else to compare it to.
