Strengths: Great pricing and performance for a Pro Quality Device

Weaknesses: The fan is a little noisier than it should be for a unit of this quality

Summary: Setup took no more than 2 minutes. Picture quality is excellent and this device is certainly at the high end of the consumer units. Menu system is a little obtuse not that you ever have to use it once the device is configured. Plenty of inputs and outputs. Head and shoulders above the competition at this price range. Superbly packaged.

Strengths: Easy on eyes; looks very attractive; excellent picture with very good contrast ratio

Weaknesses: The noice of the fan is bothersome, especially if the projector is attached on the ceiling close to the sitting area

Summary: The projector was very easy to set up. The caliberation was somewhat difficult, but the Epson support time is very good. Their special telephone number to contact the technical team was a very good idea. With the help of one of the agents, caliberation was a breeze. The picture is very sharp. Blacks are blacks and other colors are also excellent. Presence of a single HDMI may be a problem for some. Overall, I highly recommend this projector as it is excellent for the money.

Strengths: Full 1080p HD. Much nicer remote than the Infocus SP4805 it replaced. $2000.

Weaknesses: $2000.

Summary: I was able to buy this locally for less than the lowest price on Pricegrabber at the time, so I felt very fortunate for that. I also bought it the day before the "$300 and a spare lamp" rebate ended, so I will be getting that in the mail. So, for $1700 + tax (after rebate), I have an excellent 1080p projector and a spare lamp. Seems like a bargain compared to what 1080p would have cost just 2 or 3 years ago. $30,000 or something! Yikes. Still, it's a lot of money even at $1700. I was at a point of needing to buy a new lamp for my Infocus SP4805, and I decided this might be a good time to go ahead and upgrade. I thought briefly about the Epson Home Cinema 720, but decided to go all the way instead. I don't regret my decision. The picture from this is amazing when watching a 1080i TV program, but especially when watching a full 1080p HD DVD (Yeah, HD DVD officially died 2 days ago, but amazingly, my player still works!). When watching a HD source, you can stand right up at the screen, close enough to see the texture of the screen, and still not see any pixels. Maybe it is just my failing eyesight, but I don't see any. My SP4805 looked good from a distance, but this looks perfect from any distance. I could not be more pleased with my puchase. Oh, it is much quieter than my old projector too!

Strengths: Inexpensive. Easy to use.

Weaknesses: The focus is not as sharp as i expected but none the less still good.

Summary: I searched for a high quality inexpensive projector for a couple months now. Went to a couple stores to check out the projector and get feedback from the sales people there (making sure they knew in advance i wasnt buying it from them) as well as going on remote central and getting some installers feedback. So far it seems like a great deal. Very simple to use. I currently have it sitting on my kitchen table until i get a screen. Only down side is the focus is not as crisp as expected but im also projecting from about 4 feet away. bought it from circuit city w/ the 300 rebate.
