Strengths: Picture quality, vertical and horizontal optical lens adjustments

Weaknesses: Brightness,No bulb hours specified by Sony, Only 1 HDMI input for a HD projector.

Summary: I compared this projector with similar or higher range projectors in the market. Sony AW15 has the best picture. The light is not brighter compared to others. You need a dark room to use this projector. Color and contrast is wonderful. The horizontal and vertical optical lens adjustment is very useful. The bulb hours are less and the bulb is little expensive. But for the picture quality, this is the best projector available in the market in that price range.

Strengths: Good sharp image, Multiple inputs, High definition, LCD, zoom, Built as a solid and sturdy product, Silent. HDMI input and component cable. Shows dark areas clearly.

Weaknesses: Heavy, 13 lb, Large size, Pixels at close range 3 ft, Needs darkness to appreciate colors and images, 1000 hour light bulb compared to others that have 2000-2500 hours.

Summary: Overall, I chose this projector having tried the Viewsonic which had fewer inputs and the Infocus, which did not show dark areas clearly. The images are very pleasing, sharp, true color and jump out at you. This is a good replacement for a big screen television, especially with company, although viewing in the dark is less desirable. Overall, the price is okay. Some HDMI cables do not fit the HDMI port. I tried it, one worked well, one did not.

Strengths: Amazing picture, especially in HD. Easy to use and adjust.

Weaknesses: Expensive lamp replacement, need very dark environment.

Summary: I have another Sony projector from 4 years ago and I thought the picture was great but this Bravia is amazing. I've hooked it up to my HD cable box and I just use a white wall, no screen and the picture is just great... It's like having my own movie theatre! At the same price of your average 42 inch Plasma or LCD, if you have the wall space, it's a great alternative!

Strengths: Compact, light weight, VERY quiet, plug and play, vertical and horizontal optical lens adjustments.

Weaknesses: LCD "screen door" effect when closer thanone screen width away. No test patternto help align with screen.

Summary: So far, so good for this Sony product.Very straight forward out of the box, plug it in, connect input source, turn it onand go. Vertical and Horizontal lens shiftis a great feature. My application is hometheater, and the projector sits in the backof the room on top of a shelf six feet up.Lens adjustments let me have a crisp 120 inch screenat 15 feet away from the projector and projecteddown to the viewing area without any key stoning effects.Normal fan speed is very quiet, you need to beright near the projector to hear it.No noticeable light leakage around the projector at all. This is an LCD projector and produces a very crispimage. Being LCD, it is susceptible to the "screen door"effect, or noticeable horizontal and vertical lines between pixels. Not very visible if you sit more than one screen width away. If you like the large screen upclose experience then the effect may be more pronounced. In most video's I only notice it if I'm looking for it.Needs a test pattern to help align to the screen.Overall this is a great and versatile projector foryour home theater.

Strengths: Accepts 1080p signals, 24 fps, HDMI, Very Quiet

Weaknesses: Brightness not suitable for well lit rooms. Only 1 HDMI, 1 Component, 1 S-Video, 1 Composite Input. (Could use more.)

Summary: I recently purchased this projector to replace my plasma tv. I am very pleased with my choice. This projector offers top of the line HDTV capabilities, 12000:1 Contrast Ratio, and is very quiet. I love the color saturation that this projector produces, utilizing the 3LCD technology that has a separate LCD panel for each of the Red Green and Blue colors to make up the picture. Highly reccommend for those who are looking to create an entry level home theater.
