Strengths: Picture, color, brightness
Weaknesses: runs hot but that is expected
Summary: Thus far I have only hooked up the projector to my computer and Xbox 360. Crappy downloaded movies from the internet look amazingly good. Video games look phenomenal. Can't wait to get HD hooked up. This is well worth the price versus buying a smaller LCD tv. Very easy to set up and use.

Strengths: Brightness, Picture Quality, Color Depth, Throw Ratio
Weaknesses: Contrast Ratio, Lamp Life, Lamp Price
Summary: This projector is the best value at present. I use it with a Comcast HDTV Cable Box and my RCA HD DVD Home Theater System. The picture is pristine with ambient light. I project 100" at 10'!Although the contrast ratio is lower than some of the competition, and the replacement lamp price is high, I recommend this projector for viewing HDTV and films.

Strengths: Picture Quality, Easy to enlarge display size, upscaling, bright
Weaknesses: Not able to correct for off rectangle display
Summary: The picture quality is great and upscales SD cable feeds to make them look more than adequate. With 2,000-lumen brightness you are able to view even in a room with a substantial amount of ambient light. Has 2x zoom which makes it easy to adjust size of display to larger displays even when the unit is only 12-14 feet from the wall or screen. The only downside is that if the unit is off from the center of the area of display there is no way to adjust the display so that it is not off rectangular.

Strengths: brightness; 2x zoom; horizontal + vertical lens shift; no pixelation or screen-door effect; terrific color; whisper quiet
Weaknesses: HDMI ports could be sturdier. Won't accept YPbPr (component video) signal via VGA DB15 connector. Somewhat large.
Summary: The Panasonic PT-AX200U is a fantastic home theater projector. It simply projects a stunning, beautiful picture--whether it be from standard definition DVDs or HD. I was most surprised by how good regular DVDs look when projected from this unit. I mostly use it in a semi-darkened living room, so I leave the lamp in economy mode with auto-iris, which will supposedly extend the lamp life. But the lamp is so bright that even when viewing movies during the day when there's more light in the room, I don't bother switching lamp over to it's brighter setting. I also found the colors to be spot-on in the Cinema 1 setting. Maybe some day I'll fiddle with more precise color calibration, but it looked so good out of the box, I haven't bothered.

Strengths: I like the gaming features and the blockbuster give away
Weaknesses: I use it so much, I am going to need a new lamp soon
Summary: I swapped this out for my old panasonic PTL900. The pt-ax200u is 2/3 the price for what I paid for the 900. The expert reviews on pricegrabber and some good videos for the pt-ax200u on youtube.com helped me decide that this projector is the best 720p out there.

Strengths: Great picture, zoom, lens shift
Weaknesses: I hate to pay so much for a replacement bulb
Summary: I did my homework before getting my projector and this one seems to stand out as the best in it's price range. People commented that it has zero screen-door effect, which was important to me because I sit abnormally close to my screen, and I have to say that it's very true, I haven't noticed any pixelation. It's a great projector for the money.
