Strengths: Awesome Picture quality for fraction of the price compared to the flat screen for the size. Where else you can get 65" 1080p TV for below $2000.4 HDMI Inputs.

Weaknesses: No optical output for the sound.

Summary: I am always a fan of Mitsubishi TV over Samsung (new comer) or RCA (reliability issue).I bought this as an upgrade to my 52" 720p WD-52327 as I just bought a PS3 to maximize the 1080p output. This WD-65734 blows away WD-52327 in term of picture quality.I choose WD-65734 over newer Mitsu models because of it has 4 HDMI inputs instead of 3.The HD Picture was vibrant and sharp. I am very satisfied with this TV. Sound was so-so but if you have TV this size, a descent sound system a must! The only drawback is that all Mitsu TV does not have optical output so that I need to switch my receiver every time I switch from my cable to PS3.There are plenty video adjustment to suit your viewing needs in term of sharpness and color accuracy but out of the box, this would do just fine. Overall, I am very happy and satisfied with this purchase. In few years, I would probably upgrade to Diamond Series. :)

Strengths: Tremendous High Definition Picture with any Hi-Def input (Blu-Ray, HD-DVD, Hi-Def cable, Up-converted DVD). Great quantity & variety of input jacks. Ability to name input sources in user set-up.

Weaknesses: Maybe just the nature of the beast, but once you've watched anything in HD, watching standard definition/regular broadcast TV is almost intolerable.

Summary: I spent several months researching Plasma, LCD, and the various Projection formats, before narrowing my list to the Sony Bravia A3000 LCD 60" Projection TV, and this Mitsubishi WD65734 DLP 65" Projection Model. The first part of my decision came to favor Projection over both Plasma and LCD as the best quality/dollar value in very large screen TVs. Though both LCD and Plasma technologies offered high quality pictures, the cost in very large screen models significantly out-weighed any discernable difference in picture quality. In fact, I frequently felt the large screen projection TVs looked better. The next, and what proved to be toughest decision, was to actually decide between the two projection TVs mentioned. What was an asset in one was a liability in the other that ended up being a trade-off in both directions. I ultimately settled on the Mitsubishi solely because of the deal I was able to get versus the Sony. ($1399 for the 65" Mitsu vs $1800 for the 60" Sony). I have now had the Mitsubishi for 6 months and absolutely love it. It is my second large screen TV, and will never settle for anything less again. It has a crisp (STUNNING) HD Display, and terrific compatibility with home theater/sound installations. There are plenty of input jacks for every imaginable connection, including 4 HDMI jacks (more than any TV of any kind I looked at). Though projection TVs are certainly not as thin as the wall mount LCD and Plasma TVs, they are not the monsters they used to be either. Even with its tremendous 65" wide-screen, it has a very shallow (approx. 16") depth. If there is a weakness (and I think it is more something that is true of all large screen Hi-Def TVs) it is that watching standard definition/broadcast television is almost painful. There is not a DVI (computer digital video) input, but it is easy and cheap to get a DVI to HDMI adapter, if you want to connect your computer to the TV. Other than that small weakness, criticism of the built-in speakers is probably correct, but I can't imagine using a television of this quality and not including home theater sound. At least for me the built-in speakers were irrelevant. In conclusion, after 6 months I am absolutely sold on this TV.

Strengths: Name, Size, price

Weaknesses: As with any large TV you need to watch HDTV on a HDTV, not standard definition. Standard looks pixelated a little.

Summary: This is a good entry level TV for it's size. I went to buy the Toshiba for $1399 and it was right next to the Mitsu... well, even though the reviews of the Toshiba were better, in person the Mitsu won hands down. I beat up the sales guy a little and got the Mitsu for $200 over the Toshiba. I think the Toshiba reviews are so good because of the 1399 price tag. It was good but the Mitsu definitely was crisper. I can't wait to get the HD hooked up.

Strengths: Great, sharp picture. Lightweight, inexpensive.

Weaknesses: Controls not super intuitive. Supposedly will have to change the bulb someday.

Summary: This was my first non CRT, High Def television. I debated plasma vs LCD vs DLP for several months. I purchased this television and a Mitsubishi 40" LCD and compared them in my home for several weeks. I eventually selected this Mitsubishi DLP, primarily because of the relatively low cost for the very large screen. I did not need to hang this TV on the wall and it is very light. I am very pleased so far with the purchase. If you can live with the slightly larger width of a DLP, I highly recommend this television.

Strengths: Amazing Color Quality and you will not get more TV for your buck then you do with this one

Weaknesses: No DVI or VGA input but 4 HDMIS make up for it

Summary: Mitsubishi has proven time and time again that they can make great TVS. I recommend this to anyone who wants a giant tv but doesnt want to break the bank in doing so.

Strengths: Too huge screen, excellent performance with 1080 sources. HDT and MHD look even better than to be in real places, other channels use not true HD...

Weaknesses: Don't even try to watch standard definition TV!Integrated sound is so-so. USB port is useless. Closed Capturing doesn't work with digital inputs. Tv has some noticeable mechanical noise from coolers

Summary: USB port for picture viewing is a plus, however same pictures look much better through HDMI link from PC. Don't work with high resolution pictures. Be sure you have healthy heart before watching Blue Ray or HD DVD.
