Strengths: This model displays images that are sharper and more realistic than regular television when hooked up to a high definition signal.
Weaknesses: Cannot think of any.
Summary: I have Sony KDL-40S4100, KDL-46W4100 and 37LG50. I found the result of 37LG50 close to KDL-46W4100. Even though this TV is available in maket for less then $900, I found it better then some brands which are asking upto $1200 for the same or 40in. size.

Strengths: Easy setup, big screen
Weaknesses: None yet
Summary: Haven't had a lot of time to use it yet, but it's nice so far! Haven't even gotten any HD content on it yet, but the standard cable is looking pretty good even, so I'm happy so far!

Strengths: Wonderful picture and good sound quality, even nice picture for Non-HD channnels, Swivel Stand, Cheaper, easy to use
Weaknesses: Little Heavy
Summary: This is the best 37" LCD I have ever seen in terms of picture. Due to its deep color technology, the picture is not too bright to handle. Very soothing for your eyes. I personally preferred it over SONY W series which did not give me so nice picture for Non-HD channels. There is no reflection in bright room environment. For picture settings, I like the 'Cinema' mode, but the 'Intelligent Sensor' mode is also a plus for this TV.

Strengths: Easy set up, Universal remote, swivel stand (20 degrees), looks good in various light levels and angles, sleek and smooth design with black glossy trim, lots of connections.
Weaknesses: Stand is a bit flimsy and feels wobbly(must attach base yourself if not wall mounting--easy to do), remote sometimes does not register on first button pressing.
Summary: We compared several 37 inch LCD HD TVs and narrowed it down to Sony, Panasonic, and once we saw its picture quality at a store the LG was added to our list. Consumer Reports rated past LG TVs as good with possible lower than some other brand repairs. Based upon these and its good value the 37LG50 was our choice. Picture and sound quality are quite nice. It is a waste of 1080p to not have HD channels as older movies and shows begin to look grainy (as they would on most sets with these specifications).
