Strengths: One of the top brand in market available for under $900.
Weaknesses: Picture qulaity, even thought I'm playin high def channels on it.
Summary: Terrible picture qulaity for a brand like Sony. However this series does not speak for all the Sony models because I also have 46W4100. There is a big difference in picture qulaity. If you are buying Sony, do your self a favor do not buy S series.

Summary: I purchase this TV 3 month ago. This is the lowest pirce I have ever see during the whole SONY 40'1080p family, but I cannot not even tell the difference with the other expensive models in my opinion. It works very well with my DirecTV HD signal, and I really enjoy watching movies and playing games with this big big LCD TV. I would like to recommend it to everyone.

Summary: I purchase the TV a week ago in Bestbuy with the DirectTV deal.The price is accepatable to me. I could not see the obvious difference of the image of a 1:25000 contrast with the 1:10000 by eyes. I like the image this sony provides, it's already perfect to me. It gives out high-quality animations. One thing I'm not quite satisfied is the waiting time to turn on the TV. It tooks maybe 5-8 secs. And everytime I turn it off, I could feel the TV is pretty much heated. Other than that, it's perfect.
