Strengths: Very clear and sharp picture
Weaknesses: The price is higher than the competition, but I guess in this case, you get what you pay for - quality
Summary: Besides the basic excellent picture quality, the set has a number of extras, some of which is not even advertised, such as the "freeze" feature. The number of different connections on the back guarantees that you can hook up anything from a blue-ray DVD player to your camcorder, to whatever you got. I highly recommend it.

Strengths: Small package size, great menus, four HDMI ports
Weaknesses: None so far
Summary: I've only had it for a few days and so far I think it is a great TV. Good picture quility, overall size is small, easy to use menu system. In the near future I plan to test it out with my computer.

Strengths: Superb picture quality (HD) and sound quality. Color contrast best in class. New GUI makes navigating a breeze.New HDMI sync makes adding HDMI peripherals a breeze.
Weaknesses: I have not experienced any negatives yet, but the price tag might disspaoint a few for a 37in. New design is less appealing than the previous XBR models but not a huge factor in purchase.
Summary: I had originally decided to purchase a LCD primarily for my PlayStation 3 and up-convert from my 9 year old Sony 27?. After doing research for quite a bit of time, I narrowed my purchasing decisions on two models, the Sony XBR series and the Samsung LN40A550. The Samsung comes in a second close to the Sony via picture quality and sound quality but the Sony has much crisper images when displaying HD signals. I have had this TV for about a week and the picture quality is incredible when viewing Blue-Ray, DVD and HD channels and particularly while playing PS3. This particular model has more than enough inputs (4 HDMI and 2 Component) for your everyday need (many other brands in this size do not nearly have as many inputs). The auto program feature is great and you might discover a few ?hidden HD channels? from your cable company that you will not get via a cable box. All in all, I highly recommend this TV from a superb company.
