Strengths: "Touch of color", design, 4 HDMI ports, fantastic colors
Weaknesses: "Touch of color", havent seen other weaknesses so far
Summary: My first criteria for choosing this that is my first LCD was the set design. In the first moment, the red "touch of color" seemes a weird feature but the technical characteristics from this TV made me feel better even about the design. Now I like it very much, if fits perfectly in my living room... I have no previous reference as it is my first LCD, but I can say that it looks impressive even when comparing with the feel I had when looking at retail stores. I can not say much about if 120 MHz frequency modulation does any better as I have no reference but the premium of have this and other extra features was very low. I got this set from one of the DOD companies (Butterfly Photo), the phone service was ok, the only problem was that I finished paying unnecessarily $99 more for delivery and had the TV delivered in an inconvenient day.

Strengths: Superior blacks, bright picture, great contrast, packed with features (120Hz, DLNA to name a couple), classy look
Weaknesses: Red Touch of Color border may be bothersome to some, reflective screen could bother some, stationary stand ? does not swivel, some clouding
Summary: After two months of researching I chose the Samsung LN40A750 as my television and I am more than satisfied with my decision. I previously owned a Sony KDL40XBR4 but the colors did not have that punch or pop that I was looking for so I sold it after a few months. When I saw the Samsung, I felt it blew my XBR away. The Sammy?s color accuracy and deep blacks give it such a rich picture unmatched by any LCD I have ever seen IMHO. The ultra clear panel can be distracting if you have a lot of light coming into the room but if you just focus on the picture itself it?s not too bad. I personally don?t mind it. And it?s because of the ultra clear panel that Samsung is able to achieve such a great contrast between the darkest blacks and the brightest colors. In dark conditions it produces a beautiful picture. The 750 also has a USB connection which allows you to view music, pictures, and movies by simply plugging in your USB device ? Kind of a cool feature although I don?t know how much I would realistically take advantage of that. As far as the red border on the television(Touch of Color), I feel it is very subtle and have no problem with it. I have noticed some clouds when the screen is completely black but it doesn't bother me since that is not normal viewing conditions. Samsung is coming out with higher end models this year, probably in August and I am sure the picture quality will be better than the 750, especially those models using LED Backlight technology. But how much better will they really be, and at what cost? I think Samsung really got it right with the 750. It?s definitely the best bang for the buck. Do a search for the professional reviews, they will tell you the same thing. I am telling you, get this Samsung!
