Strengths: bright screen, clear picture, low noise, 24 fps for movies, plenty of connections for various sources, ease of use especially with other Samsung equipment
Weaknesses: lack of 120Hz refresh rate
Summary: I've had this set now for about a week and I must say that I've been extremely pleased considering I could not view it in a showroom anywhere before deciding to purchase it. I had narrowed my choices down to either this set or the Sony 32XBR6 and decided on this one because I already owned a Samsung HD Duo Player and figured they would work better together and this was priced a little lower than the Sony. The features of both sets appeared to be similar in comparisons I had done so it came down to price. The only thing that might have been nice would have been to have added the 120Hz refresh rate but if you are watching a lot of movies as I do, you really don't need this feature as it makes movies shot on film unnatural. This is due to the fact that film is shot at 24fps and the 120Hz refresh rate is actually processing pictures at 120fps and this tends to make movies look like they were shot on video and as a filmmaker, this is very unpleasant. The 120Hz feature would probably come in handy for sports but that's about it. Other than that this is a great TV and I think you will not be disappointed.
