Weaknesses: The stand is a little basic, but I guess that happens with most TVs these days.

Summary: A 37" TV was the biggest thing we could fit in our TV cabinet. It seemed that any TV under 40" was lacking in options and image quality, but this one stood out with having all the features we wanted, and more. The settings menus are easy to navigate and our cheap universal remote works well with it. It has more inputs than I will ever use and the color depth makes us hardly miss the CRT it replaced. The store displays just do not do it justice. So far, we love it and are very happy with the decision.

Summary: This television is perfect. I was thinking of going with the Sharp Aquos or a Toshiba and I am ecstatic with my decision thus far. The picture quality is like no other I have ever seen. My PS3 was easy to connect with this set, and games and Blu-Rays look excellent on it. The SRS surround sound really compliments the TV. I find the settings for picture sound modes easy to use. I change the settings frequently depending on whether I am watching a movie, playing a game, or watching a sporting event. This set is near a window in my house and there is no glare whatsoever. My only regret is that I couldn't afford the 42". That would have been awesome.

Summary: The TV took less than 15 minutes to assemble and have on the air. The picture quality was very good, in fact it was better with the internal tuner than with my cable service, which I promptly cancelled, saving $50.00 per month. I purchased it from Onsale.com. Do not buy from this second rate outfit. It was late being delivered and the listing and saleperson, said it had a two year warranty. They will not return phone or emails and they fixed the website to reflet a one year warranty, and now they are just avoiding me so they don't need to live up to their obligations and give me the two year warranty that they used to sell it to me in the first place. They are also know as Mac-Mall, PC-Mall and Onsale. Buy from someone reputable and you will be be very happy with this HDTV.

Summary: I wanted to purchase a sub-40 in. LCD and was stoked when I heard about this set. I originally had purchased the previous year's Samsung 37" LCD model but returned it because of a humming noise coming from the back of the set. Seems like Samsung had fixed this issue w/ this particular set and am totally happy w/ my purchase. My PS3 never looked better. One thing to note is that the Clear QAM tuner doesn't seem to be as strong as the previous model. I noticed it didn't pick up as many channels as my older set did. Other than that, I absolutely love this tv.

Strengths: Phenomenal FullHD picture with no distortions when playing action movies. Full set of features and customization options. Remote buttons light up. Only weights less than 35 pounds.

Weaknesses: Weak TV speakers that produce very little bass. No flash card reader for loading photos or short movies directly on the TV.

Summary: I couldn't be more pleased with the purchase of this my first FullHD LCD Widescreen TV. I ordered mine online so my first impression was how light it is, no more than 35 pounds, compared to my family's Sony LCD TVs. The remote is long, but this gives way to bigger than average rubber buttons that light up when the light feature of the remote is turned on. The quality of the colors and the screen definition that is reproduced at any level is superb. It is loaded with customizable features. Unfortunately, the on board TV speakers lack the sound qualities of other TVs such as Sony?s Bravia line. This however can be a blessing for those of you that own surround sound systems because there are no visible speakers protruding beyond the sleek shiny frame of the TV screen. Bottom line... it is comforting to know that Samsung is manufacturing such an exceptional LCD FullHD TV at a fantastic price when compared to other manufactures such as Sony which are usually more expensive.

Summary: After reading reviews and looking at the various models, I chose the Samsung because of the quality and brightness of the picture and the price. I chose the 1080 since the price wasn't so far above the 768. Samsung is one of the few that produces a 37 inch which fits perfectly in the space I have. It was easy to set up. It recognizes the input devices and adjusts to them accordingly. I had to upgrade the cable inputs from my cable box. To take advantage of the high definition capabilities, you will want to purchase the HDMI cables that support the 1080p format. It set me back about $100, but it is a single cable and transmits both video and audio. This is a widescreen that automatically adjusts to the input picture dimensions. I highly recommend this set!

Summary: a fair price and a great product. I don't understand why the on-screen sound control is vertically oriented on this set and horizontally oriented on the 48" Samsung HDTV. I suspect I'll get used to the difference - no big deal.

Summary: I love this TV. I waited a long time to upgrade and it was worth the wait. 1080i on a 37" at a very reasonable price! I should have bought the HDMI cables package offered with the TV. It will save you money. Beach Camera shipped quickly. Nothing bad to say.

Weaknesses: more HDMI connectors than S video connectors, so not so great for people like us who haven't changed our DVD players to the HD versions

Summary: This is our second Samsung TV. Bought a 32 inch 720p Samsung a year ago and was very happy with the quality, so decided to buy a slightly larger one after our recent move and upgraded to the 1080p version. I don't really notice that much difference between the two different resolutions, but I do think the stand for the 37a550 is steadier than for my old one. The old one wobbles a bit so I'm always worried it would fall, but this one stands straight and stiff. The shape and design of the TV is quite beautiful as well, and I think for under $1000 you can't go wrong. Some of those off brands selling at Walmart costs more than this............We use DishNetwork DVR remote to control the TV most of the time, so I don't really know if the remote is any good or not. But the remote is large with big size buttons, again beautifully designed. Overall very good value for money.

Summary: I read a lot about HDTVs before I bought this. I also owned the Samsung 32" LCD 720p right before this. I read a lot online that you can't tell a difference between 720p and 1080p in TVs less than 42". I completely disagree with that. This 1080p looks much better than the 720p IMO. I'm returning the 32" 720p one. The 5 extra inches makes a big difference. I say if you are going to spend over $600 for a TV pay a couple hundred more and go for the 1080p with more inches. Phenomenal looking and under 50lbs. It comes with a better remote(illuminated) than the 32" one too. 37" seems like a big TV too. 32" is just pretty good. 37" is big enough to be like wow. I suppose go bigger if you have the space, but if you are kind of limited, this one is still a wowwer.

Summary: This TV is great for a bead room or office. I have mine set up in an office and it works great. The speakers are better than I thought too. It's also very light weight, which makes it easy to mount.

Summary: THIS IS THE SECOND SAMSUNG THAT I HAVE BOUGHT FROM BEST BUY WITHIN TWO WEEKS. YHE FIRST ONE WOULDN'T DOWN LOAD THE CHANNELS ON SET UP. THE SECOND ONE WAS FINE FOR ABOUT A WEEK AND THEN SUDDENLY THE PICTURE DISAPPEARS WHILE THE SOUND CONTINUES. WHEN YOU RE BOOT IT EITHER KEEPS THE VIDEO FOR AWHILE OR THE VIDEO FLASHES ON AND THEN DSIAPPEARS. IT GOES BACK TO BEST BUY TOMORROW WITH GOOD RIDDANCE.
