Strengths: Toshiba name.
Weaknesses: Made by Orion/Sansui.
Summary: This TV is made by Orion/Sansui, not made by Toshiba, so you know the secret. If you buy this only for Toshiba quality, you are not buying Toshiba quality yet, as this is the wrong Toshiba TV. When I bought this one from Best Buy, it arrived with incorrect color settings in the secret service menu. The tint is off by 8%, the brightness is off by 5%, and the color temperature is off by 11%. Color calibration from the Orion factory has always been poor since day 1, and I always have to babysit Orion by spending more than 5 hours at the service menu adjusting colors. This is not a genuine Toshiba product, but a OEM product order by Toshiba to expand its TV lineup. Poor, tiny speakers have been used by Orion/Sansui for Toshiba TVs for more than eight years now, so it is no surprise at all. Replacement parts are always unavailable and are backordered because Toshiba orders all parts from Orion in Thailand, which always takes more than 30 days to ship. If the TV is made by Toshiba, none of the problems will occur.

Strengths: Compact, light, and has a very good picture image.
Weaknesses: None so far.
Summary: Bought this to use in our RV as a space-saving option that incorporates a DVD/CD player too. Nice overall layout -- works as advertised.I like the fact that I can also use this unit as a PC monitor when it is not in use during the months the RV is in storage.Overall, very good package with no negative trade-offs. Over the Internet it ended up costing about the same as a 19" LCD TV would have cost minus the built-in DVD player.

Strengths: The picture is sharp and clear, and it's very convenient to have the DVD player included with only one remote to keep track of. I definitely recommend this.
Weaknesses: None.
Summary: We purchased the TV/DVD player for use in our kitchen. The 19" size is a perfect fit. The picture is sharp and clear w/dvd's and hdtv channels. I highly recommend this hdtv/dvd player.
