Strengths: Crystal-clear image quality, a feature-complete set of controls and viewing options, internet-aware widgets, very-usable remote.
Weaknesses: Content for widgets is limited. Some may not like the panel's asthetic design for the border & corners.
Summary: Sharp has upped the ante with their latest LCD offering. The AQUOS LC-46SE94U 46" LCD TV is best-of-breed when it comes to image quality, offering a crystal-clear 1920x1080 set with plenty of inputs, and an equally impressive number of display options. This set also provides a 120Hz refresh rate ... and a snappy response time. Sharp has ventured into a new area by adding an ethernet jack to the set. This allows the set to display "widgets" of content along the border of the set. The current providers of this information are fairly limited ... offering the basics of weather and stock information, but Sharp has a developer program that will hopefully expand this feature. The ethernet connection also allows Sharp support representatives to connect to your set in order to assist with configuration. In an aesthetic sense, the TV set is attractive, but is a departure from the clean, flat set-borders that most companies have evolved towards. Sharp has added what they call "corner-stones" to the corners of the set. This may not be for everyone, so it's worth a look before buying to make sure you won't find this unattractive. In conclusion ... the LC-46SE94U is a great set that commands a hefty premium over some of Sharp's other 46" offerings ... but the quality of the picture justifies the cost if you're looking for a top-notch LCD screen that will be competitive with its features for the foreseeable future.

Weaknesses: fake leather trim
Summary: i have been using this tv for only a short amount of time. currently using for SD television (non digital from Comcast) and as a HTPC with vista media center. the picture quality from the sd television is far superior from my other 32" TV (i was worried about this). it also picks up QAM HD channels which look amazing! the picture quality from my computer is also much enhanced over the 32". would definitely recommend this unit and i would buy it again.Lastly, i have had no problems with banding as others with Sharps have had.

Strengths: Great resolution
Weaknesses: Sometimes Blanks out
Summary: My wife and I were amazed by the picture clarity of this model, you can see the blades of grass on the putting green. The setup was no problem and the instructions were clear. I thought the wire connections of the speakers were cheap for the price of the TV. The frame is simple and clean. The menu is easy to learn. I expect a TV like this to have picture in picture, so I was a little disappointed that it did not have PIP.
