Strengths: Picture quality, Great Standard Def picture., no pixelation

Weaknesses: Not so good Black level display, no known codes for my comcast remote.

Summary: What a deal I got for this tv, 799.99 before tax at office depot. This is my second hdtv, I have a 50" toshiba downstairs, and this tv beats it hands down in standard def channels, hd channels looks maybe a tad better. I need to get some hdmi cables to see if would look any better on my cable box, havent tried out the pc connection on it yet, waiting to build a new computer, but I have a feeling it will look better than my toshiba.

Strengths: Clear picture, print is large enough to view from across the room, bottom speakers better than side-don't add to width

Weaknesses: Would have liked a printed manual.

Summary: This was our first flat screen TV. We love it! Were looking for one that would fit our corner stand and not extend too far in front of the window. This size was perfect and large enough for viewing from anywhere in the room. We were undecided about buying the Home Depot $149. or $199. set up but thought it rather high so decided to try it ourselves. We have DISH and learned that they do not help you set up. My husband did the set up after watching the instructions (and he's not good at this - I thought I would have to do it) It set up fine and after turning the TV to channel 73 (some are 60) for DISH we got a clear picture. The DISH remote works except for turning the TV on and volume control. We've been using it for a week without going back to try to set that up. There is a code at DISH tech site to align Olevia with the DISH remote (506 main one and 127) Sound is better than our old TV. Feels like we're at the movies. At the sale price of $749.99 this was a great buy! We expected to pay between $1000 and $2000. Watch for sales!

Strengths: Lots of connectivity options, firmware upgradeable, excellent picture quality, pretty good sound, PIP, wide viewing angle, 720P HDTV with support for 1080P, ATSC tuner

Weaknesses: Very odd on screen menu system, black levels could be better, non standard remote control signals so most universal remotes won't work

Summary: I have owned this TV for a little over 3 months, and I think it's the best TV on the market for the price! Before I bought this, I didn't know anything about this "Olevia" brand. Should I buy this off-brand TV? After reading several good reviews, I took a chance and bought it. I haven't been disappointed! Okay here are the pros: what good is a TV if it doesn't look good? This set looks great especially with HDTV signals, DVDs, and HD-DVDs (or Blu-ray if that's your thing)! Extremely good quality picture! This has a native 720P resolution, but it supports picture input up to 1080P. Another plus is the wide viewing angle: it looks good even when it's turned at a great angle from you.I'm also impressed with the build quality. My TV didn't have a single dead or stuck pixel as far as I've been able to tell. This set has lots of inputs! There is your standard antenna input, 2 composite, 2 S-video, 2 component, 2 HDMI, and 1 VGA (like computer display port). All these inputs are great so you don't have to buy an external signal selector box. Now I haven't tried it yet, but there's a USB port on the back for upgrading the firmware which could be very helpful. This model also has a built in ATSC tuner. With my cable (Comcast) they also include HDTV signals of the local network TV stations, and this set can tune into these HDTV signals without any extra hardware required. Now the cons: I have only 3 minor gripes: 1) it has PIP (Picture in Picture) support (no dual TV tuners though so you can't watch 2 TV signals), but it's hard to use. You have to go through the menu system and press a bunch of buttons to enable it. There's no dedicated button on the remote so you aren't likely to use it. 2) It's a LCD display so it has a back light and this means that you won't get really black blacks. I'm not an expert on LCDs, but it doesn't look any worse than most LCD monitors (i.e. about average). This is really only a problem if you watch a lot of dark movies. 3) It has a very odd menu system. I consider myself a gadget enthusiast, and I'm very tech savvy, but the "wheel" type menu system is confusing at first until you get used to it. It's very different than the traditional "linear" menu system. It's not bad, it's just annoyingly different and throws you a curve ball. (Maybe a firmware update would update the menu system? Please Olevia?)All the pros GREATLY outweigh the minor cons in my opinion, and I would recommend this TV to others. In fact, I'd gladly buy this one again if I had to (i.e. lighting killed it or something).

Strengths: Great picture

Weaknesses: TV does not pair with cable remote

Summary: This is a great tv for the money. The picture is clear even when you are watching non HD channels. I have noticed on my higher end 47" LG that the non HD channels look grainy but not as bad on the Olevia. The biggest draw backs are programming the cable remote and it does take a minute for the TV to turn on.

Strengths: Great colors and definition.

Weaknesses: A little weak on the menu, configuration, but since you don't have to use the menu that often.....

Summary: i have bought two Olevia brand TVs, going on 6 months with one minor problem which tech support helped me with (misconfig on my part). Iam happy with both (37" and 42") and happy with the extra cash I saved. Consumers Report rated one of them in the top 5 and top 2 for the money. I see no need to spend all that money on an LCD TV when you can buy this kind of quality for this price. Unless you are RICH$$$$$$$.

Strengths: Picture quality, price, input/output options, solid stand, looks great!

Weaknesses: Remote just average; on screen menu interface a little cumbersome.

Summary: Picked up this TV at Target for $799. Couldn't pass it up for that price. This a great TV for standard definition and high def. The remote leaves something to be desired but that's not very high on my criteria. Great product and I highly recommend it.

Strengths: Great bang for the buck. Quality is great.

Weaknesses: I guess I could use more component inputs, not a big deal.

Summary: I just got this today for about $430-ish and I must say, for this price I'm very satisfied. I didn't get any dead/stuck pixels! I'm mainly using this for video games and divx playing. My PS2/Xbox/GC has a little lag but it's very minute and hard to notice. The 360 looks beautiful and after playing games on this, it's going to be hard to go back if I had to. Overall, I'd say this set is a solid choice.

Strengths: EXTREMELY CLEAR AND RELIABLE

Weaknesses: HARD TO FIGURE OUT PICTURE IN PICTURE FEATURE

Summary: Aside from not being able to figure out the picture in picture feature, (without reading manual) This is a great tv. I have picked up at least 75 additional channels than I had before and I'm talking all HD. (Without an HD connection). These channels are broadcasted through regular basic cable. You can make your tv a computer PC as well. Imagine that for the price. If you ask me..., this was a steal of a deal.

Strengths: Nice picture quality for the price

Weaknesses: A little slow for picture to come out when turned on

Summary: I was hesitant to buy this tv at first because it is not a brand name. But now I'm glad that I made the right decision to buy, it's way cheaper than the brand names like sony, lg, etc. but the picture quality is way so clear. The tv is not cheap looking, you cannot even see the brand, almost invisible. I have it for a couple of months now and still very pleased and enjoying watching movies on this great tv. I would definitely recommend to buy.
