Strengths: Very easy setup. Extremely good picture.

Weaknesses: Like every other LCD television, it puts out alot of heat. Make sure there is clearance around the set.

Summary: I bought this unit three weeks ago. The retailer had this unit on sale for $1,000 less than retail and they willingly negotiated the price down another $2000. I like the Sharp SE series so well that I will shop for another super deal on a 46" SE for our bedroom. The 65" unit is mounted on an articulated wall mount. I had trouble finding a good wall mount for a reasonable price.

Strengths: Excellent color, Lot of features.

Weaknesses: Screen emits a lot of heat. Draws alot of electricity.Slight screen reflection.

Summary: I waited 5 weeks to post review because it took a few weeks just to check out all of it's features. This 65" rocks. The color is amazing, did not have to make any color adjustments. It has different options for color settings depending on type of programming you are watching. Watching HD programming (720 1080-Local broadcast from outside antenna)is like being there. SD (Standard Definition) viewing from my DirecTV (didn't get HD package due to not enough channels available yet)is very good considering they are in 480. There is no banding issues on this set as mentioned in reviews from other Sharp model 65"s and 52"s. The small bezel is great and fits perfect in my wall unit. The screen does emit a lot of heat, I mean a lot of heat when it's on. I measured the wattage this set draws and it is over 550watts, that's more than my air conditioner, but hey, it's 65". Plenty of inputs (HMDI/Component). Have my Blu-Ray DVD and XBOX360 hooked up to it and the color is great. Had only 1 bad pixel on the entire screen. Also this set has a sensor that darkens or brightens the picture depending on the room lighting, great feature. I have large open windows that reflect light on the screen that I can see slightly on dark or grey scenes but otherwise it does not bother me. You can't go wrong with this set.

Strengths: amazing picture, very sharp and crisp, tons of adjustments and hdmi

Weaknesses: mediocre design, still not thin enough

Summary: i purchased this system to replace an existing samsung unit which was not 1080, but 720. The difference was night and day. The sharp is so much clearer and the picture is amazing. i did not experience any banding after running through all the greyscale tests. the design was blah, but its the picture i care most about, fortunately the wife agrees!
