Strengths: Incredible color

Weaknesses: Can't figure out the CC control

Summary: This is one of two large screen televisions just purchased for my elderly parents and we cannot be more pleased! The colors on the Sharp are vibrant. Non-HD pictures come through well, but the true magic can be seen with HD broadcasts. Fios brings the screen to life and even after a few weeks, we're still agog every time we turn on the set.The remote is a bit tricky to learn and we have yet to figure out how to work the closed-captioning (a neccessity for my mother). We'll figure it out eventually. It's a lovely set, but HUGE ... if I had known it was so large I might have gone with a 47", but in truth, I love the size. ;)

Strengths: This is greatest TV that I never had before.

Weaknesses: I didn't find anything so far

Summary: Before I purchased Sharp LC52SE94U 52, I had 50" Sony LCD project 720P. Compare Sony and Sharp they are both great products. I like Sharp better than Sony, because the picture quality is sharper. No issues or problems on TV, DirecTV, dish network, DVD, blue ray, or PC. A++++ is my word. Highly recommended.

Strengths: fantastic picturecool features

Weaknesses: may have banding

Summary: I bought this to replace my lc52d62u. I wanted the 120Hz processing, the new backlight, and the extra inputs. I am pleased on all counts. The only minor fly in the ointment is that this does have some very faint horizontal banding. Note that I would never have known except that I used tvblink to generate a uniform grey background -- the banding is not notiveable (on this panel to me) in normal operation.

Strengths: Quality Product with nice picture. Advanced AquosNet features are nice.

Weaknesses: Only One S-video connection. All audio doesn't always go to the optical output when using HDMI connections. Location of two of the HDMI ports on the side is poor and causes cable to stick out.

Summary: Nice product with a wealth of features. Like the High Contract level and deep black of the unit. Slim design is very nice. Look forward to the additions of features with AquosNet system. Remote has a rather nice layout and setup is rather easy. Take a little time to adjust settings of color and speed depending on your type of viewing and it will be worth it. Installation out of box was rather simple with just a few screws and it's ready to go. Light level adjustment of picture based on the brightness of the room is a nice feature. Media Card Reader or Flash Drive access using the USB port would have been nice. No PIP option either.

Strengths: - Great picture quality- High contrast ratio- 120Hz frame rate conversion- Slim designer bezel

Weaknesses: - Semi-gloss screen finish instead of matte- Marginal standard def quality- Time lag when switching between analog and digital channels

Summary: I don't notice any motion blur or ghosting when watching fast action movies. If you watch a lot of standard def programming, you might want to look elsewhere. Also, reflections on the semi-gloss screen can be an issue in rooms with a lot of ambient light. It would be useful to have more S-video input connectors (only 1) and less Composite connectors (3 is overkill).

Strengths: Great picture, easy to use controls

Weaknesses: None noted in the approximately 4 weeks I've owned it

Summary: Looked studied LCD's for several months before making a decision. Started out to buy a Sony XBR4; determined the picture of the Sharp 94 to be as good, if not better, for a little less money. Excellent choice and a good value for anyone looking for a high end large screen LCD

Strengths: deep static/dynamic contrast ratio (2 dynamic settings: 1 detects amount of light in the surroundings, the other detects the picture displayed on screen); 120HZ film mode (24fps); color/tint adjmts

Weaknesses: No PIP, SD picture looks OK, can see grainy picture if feed is not good enough; many inputs on the right side which cause some wires to be exposed/visiable; factory settings seem to produce "red push"

Summary: Replaced a Sony XBR1 SXRD unit with this TV. Got it at a good price from SharpDirect. New unit (came out in January 2008) with many features. Spending some time calibrating the set was well worth it. The menus are easy to operate and allow you plenty of customization. Next is to look for a wall to mount this slick TV (only 3 to 4 inches thick!)
