Strengths: Price, quality of picture and viewsonic reputation
Weaknesses: None so far
Summary: This is the second viewsonic TV I have owned (I have a 20" LCD as well), and I love their quality and price, plus the fact that they are fully integrated with speakers and HD tuner all in included. The picture is great especially when connected to HD content! I could not be happier with this purchase at the price and would recommend it without hesitation.

Strengths: Nice picture after tweaking, good connectivity
Weaknesses: stock picture so-so, some users experience early failure
Summary: I purchased this monitor from Office Depot for a very competitive price. I was a little hesitant to buy it after reading some negative reviews. Most of these pertained to units that were defective. OD has a 30 day return policy so I thought I'd take a chance. I was pleasantly surprised at how good the picture looked after a little tweaking (go to www.avsforums.com for more info on that). HD looks really sharp and clear, with good black levels and very little motion blur. The SD picture is just OK. SD doesn't look nearly as good as on our Panasonic plasma, but I guess at this price, that is something I can live with. I mostly bought this TV for gaming and watching DVD's. The unit also works quite well as a computer monitor via the VGA connection. Connectivity is good with (1) HDMI, (1) component, (1) VGA and (2) composite connections. Another HDMI would have been nice, but again, at this lower price point, this is to be expected. So far, the unit has given us zero problems. I would recommend this TV.

Strengths: Great colors for videos, Easy to set up and light weight for the size.
Weaknesses: non HD channels are not very clear (give hazy appearance), viewing angle vary narrow,
Summary: I have had this Tv for a little while now and I use it in my bedroom. It has fantastic picture quality when viewing DVDs or movies. Some Tv stations do not come out as clear as I would like. The viewing angle is not that large on this set. The picture tends to blur if you are not watching right on. After the rebate, I would have paid under $500 for this Tv which is not bad at all. Even with some of the issues that have been stated concerning quality... I have had no problems with this tv and would recommend it to my friends. You can't compare this Tv to the higher end models or you would be disappointed. However, you can't compare the price to them either. I would definitely purchase again if I had to do it all over.

Strengths: Decent price (After Rebate)for a HDTV built-in set. High resolution. Easy setup. Good Sound. HDMI.
Weaknesses: Cheap looking with too much cheap plastic. Installation instruction has wrong information. Remote control does not work appropriately.
Summary: It's not the best out there, but I think it's the best value (if I receive my $150 rebate from ViewSonic). Worked great with my XBox 360. I had a hard time to adjust the color. With different combination of setting and adjusting, I still couldn't make the color right. It's not as lively, or real color like I was hoping for. The instruction list a cable or antenna but the set has a TV and DTV coaxial hook up. Overall, it's a good set for the money.

Strengths: -Price-HD Picture-Ease of setup-Digital Tuner
Weaknesses: -SD Picture-NO QAM tuner-NO DVI, only one HDMI and component
Summary: I got a great deal on this TV and have been very happy with it so far. The HD picture on this set looks great, and since it has a built in digital tuner, I can pick up the local HD channels with an antenna.XBOX 360 also looks incredible on this. THe only weaknesses really so far are that SD picture doesn't look all that great (although movies upscaled to 720p look very good), there is no DVI input and only one each of HDMI and component, and the blacks aren't terribly deep. Overall I am very happy with the purchase. Update:I have now owned the TV for about 2 months, and I am still extremely happy with it. I haven't had any problems with it so far, and the picture quality is still excellent. I bought an OTA atenna with which I have been able to watch local network channels in HD for free and they look incredible. I also bought a few other TV's since purchasing this one, and have returned all of them, as the picture quality on them have been worse than this TV.

Strengths: The colors, computer monitor combo
Weaknesses: remote control response is a little slow
Summary: We are happy with this purchase. The colors of the TV are stunning, especially when watching DVDs. The color rendition is excellent via component cables. I have not yet tried the HDMI connection but once my Oppo 981 arrives I will. There is also a convenient set of standard RCA inputs (Yellow White Red) at the left edge which we use for the kids' V-Smile. It's also convenient to be use as a monitor for my laptop. The only complaint I have is a little slow remote control response. This is a TV I would highly recommend to anyone.

Strengths: Excellent picture quality, built-in HDTV tuner, compatible with my Logitech Harmony 550 universal remote, low price
Weaknesses: Default sharpness was jacked sky high leading to initially horrible picture quality, menu system could be a bit more intuitive, placement of cable and HDTV inputs are poor
Summary: I'm definitely impressed with this TV. I originally had a Viewsonic N3250w and an Accurian HTS-6000 HDTV tuner, but the N3251w with built-in HDTV tuner blows away my old combo in HDTV picture quality. Also, the built-in tuner picks up nearly twice as many local channels as my Accurian HDTV receiver. Also, $499 after mail-in rebate from NewEgg can't be beat.

Strengths: Price, good picture quality for the price.
Weaknesses: I have the same problem, stay away from this model. The remote is pure cheap. I have to pull the plug sometimes to reset the power cause it will not take all the commands after awhile.
Summary: not enough HDMI inputs. I think I will return this model. The picture quality is decent. Coming from a sony 30" HDTV. Nice looking, but the power problems are horrendous. SOmetimes you cant even turn it off with the remote. When you change channels the OSD display dissapears so you have no idea what channel you are on, or volume going up or down.

Strengths: Ease of set-up. Picture clarity. Compatability with other audio/video equipment.
Weaknesses: Fear that bulb will burn out.
Summary: Family's first flat screen TV. 32" is perfect for my parent's small living room. Set-up in minutes. Clear picture with just regular cable. Easy to use remote. Good sound. Parents deciding whether to upgrade to HD cable. Mom loves the ability to pan in and out. Dad still trying to figure out the picture-in-picture function. Great value - falling in price. Aunt was jealous when she saw it and wants one. Family will enjoy the Super Bowl, even if mom can't zoom into her favorite, Tom Brady.

Weaknesses: No QAM, not very good contrast ratio and brightness
Summary: I have been using viewsonic for a while and always feel happy of their products. This TV stands out in the price range. As many ppl mentioned, the pictuer quality are ok.However, the lack of QAM tuner, not so good contrast ratio and brightness are the weaknesses. But don't try to compare this to high end models which cost double or even triple. As some ppl experience quality issues, I am crossing my finger and we will see.

Strengths: The HD picture is acceptable, relatively light and you can start viewing a mediocre picture very quickly (meaning setup was easy but quality of picutre is poor)
Weaknesses: Remote did not work out of the box, non HD channels are pretty bad, viewing angle vary narrow, bad Viewsonic customer support
Summary: I bought the monitor via Buy.com and they were terrific. Ordered it on a Sunday and it was at my door on Wednesday via their budget shipping (free shipping). Set-up the TV via my HD box from Time Warner and noticed colors were way off... after much adjusting I was able to get the HD picture to be fairly good. I have not been able to get the non HD channels to what I'd think an acceptable quality is. My 42" plasma from Philips has a much better non HD picture. As I was setting up the TV I noticed the channel up and down button was not working. Called Viewsonic and they were polite but basically said we don't have anymore remotes try to get one from Buy.com. Why would Buy.com have a remote sitting around, I asked? Answer: I don't know but give them a shot and call us back if they don't. The last issue I'll mention is the view angle is not 170 degrees as Viewsonic states... if you are not directly in front the picture begins to wash out. I haven't watched any movies, played any video games or used it as a monitor so perhaps it will redeem itself in those categories. My recommendation would be to spend the extra dollars and upgrade to Sharp or Samsung... I wish I did.

Summary: Viewsonic is my choice when it comes to computer monitors, and now it is my choice for HDTVs. This is a 32" TV which makes it great for watching movies. The color display is very vivid and the high def. output is great. I also like the style of this TV as it is modern and takes up minimal space for a TV of its size. This tv has all the necessary hook-ups, outputs, inputs and is easy to use. I recommend this tv for anyone wanting quality HDTV with the Viewsonic warranty as well.

Several aspect ratios to select depending on what you are viewing, including Picture in Picture. Wall mountable (with optional hardware). Easy to program setup. Can't get much better than this without spending BIG $$!
