Strengths: Aesthetically pleasing design with smart layout of both front control panel buttons and rear inputs. Incredible picture with deep blacks!
Weaknesses: None!
Summary: If you can swallow the rather large price, this television is second to none! I have been in the market for a large-screen plasma for quite some time now and have determined through both brand reputation and picture quality, this is one of the best televisions on the market. Panasonic's longevity is well known and seconded by renowned independent consumer testing agencies. I would most definately recommend this television to others!

Strengths: Screen size. Build quality. Looks. Excellent HD picture. Lots of config options.
Weaknesses: Analog signal display. Heavy. Black bezel is a dust magnet. Internal speakers cannot be hooked directly to AV receiver spkr output. Extra cost over 58PZ700U not worth it. Tuners use 1 antenna jack.
Summary: I had already owned a 42" plasma for 5 years now and the picture got too "small" so I couldn't wait to upgrade to a 60 incher or something close to it. I had a hard time deciding between the 700U or 750U. But since I was already spending a few grand whats another few hundred for the top of the line model. When I received the TV I was awestruck by how large and heavy it was. It became the focal point of my living room once installed. It's a big beautiful monstrosity. After a few days of break in I cranked up the picture settings and every HD channel looked wonderful. The colors are accurate without much fiddling and the blacks are detailed enough to see the creases in a black suit. It is one of the best visual displays I've ever seen.Input wise, there are a plenty. As noted above the only problem I have is that I want to use the built in speakers as a center channel, but I can't since the on-boards are active and do not have independent speaker wire inputs.Overall I am quite happy with my purchase, although I do feel a bit ripped since the 750U's extra cost does not add much extra functionality over the cheaper 700U model. Besides an extra HDMI and menu settings there isn't much else to justify the extra 500 buck over the 700U.

Strengths: Black levels, Picture adjustments, 3 x HDMI, 1080P
Weaknesses: Not many, maybe speakers
Summary: I have had this television for one month and am very happy with it. I researched various televisions for about 6 months and had narrowed my search to just a few models. I needed a larger screen because the room where we mounted the television is large and the family sits a good 12 feet from the screen. Besides the panasonic, I also liked the 52" Samsung 65 series LCD as well as the Sony XBR. Now I am far from being an expert, but for me, plasma still had the advantage for the things I like to watch, like sports. Also I liked the deep blacks that plasma offers. HD content on this model is awesome, and standard def is good also. The television has many more inputs than I need now, but that leaves room for more toys later. The speakers are not terrible, but they are not great either. (Although I wouldn't expect them to be.) Maybe at some point I'll set up a surround sound system and HD DVD or Blu-Ray if the format war ever gets settled. Overall it was an enormous amount of money to spend on a television, but I have no buyers remorse or regrets. I am extremely pleased with this product.
