Strengths: Price , Quality

Weaknesses: None

Summary: This is one of the best TV I have ever purchaed. I compated the TV side by side with my existing TV (Sony 27") and the quality was amazing. I could not believe what I was watching for so many years. Setup is very easy, touch buttons are great on the screen.

Strengths: Beautiful Picture

Weaknesses: After less than 3 months LCD developed bad pixels.

Summary: Once I noticed the bad pixels I had technician out to verify and come to find out Samsung shutdown manufacturing for a month. So, having to wait to get a replacement screen for close to a month. Be aware Samsung's policy is repair only - no replacement. I kind of wish I had gone with the Sony or at least looked at it more.

Strengths: It has great Color and defintion. Connectivity for AUX devices is good. Ease of use is also good. Sound is good. Black environment has depth.

Weaknesses: Three weeks old and developed bad pixels vertically in two places, very obvious, and the panel has to be replaced. Stuttering in fast moving scenes.

Summary: For a LCD TV that cost $3k having to replace it within 3 weeks of install does not speak highly of it. For an investment of this type please take time to review extensively the reviews from many sources before purchasing. There is a stuttering in fast moving scenes and sometimes an intermitent flutter. Although the problems it still has a great picture and colors are rich and vibrant. Color definition is awesome. Although there are more positives to negatives with this TV, having to replace it 3 weeks after install negates the postives. The audio is through a BOSE system and not having a lot of review of it for evaluation will not mention other than sounds okay.

Strengths: Good potential just not executed properly

Weaknesses: Poor, uninformed Samsung tech support

Summary: This TV has a great picture when it's working properly but Samsung has too many unresolved issues with these sets. I know I own one. 1) Picture Stutter 2) Motion blur with their Automotion system 3) Mini Blinds effect which looks like picture breakup with many horizontal lines everytime there is a quick scene change or fast motion. This is worst of all as it's constant. Contacted Samsung technical support and they've been working on the first 2 issues for a while with no true fix yet and the worst issue (miniblinds effect) they DON'T EVEN ACKNOWLEDGE YET . This set has great potential - but in my opinion, at this point, it's NOT a keeper . . . it's going back.

Strengths: Awesome Picture Quality, Great Looking Cabinet, Lots Of Configuration Options.

Weaknesses: 120 Refresh Rate ---- IS A JOKE !!!!! Digital Optical Output ----- GETS LOST IN TRANSLATION (I'll explain more in detail below)

Summary: There is no question that this TV was a GREAT purchase, I would recommend it to ANYONE. New DVD's look INCREDIBLE on this TV, however, Older DVD's DO NOT look right, the aspect ratio is F@%# UP, I would say that about 10% of my DVD's do not look good on this TV, but the other 90% make it all worth while. I am running my xbox thru it with component video and digital optical to a seperate receiver. The picture quality is AWESOME. I do have an HDMI DVD player and although the picture quality of it is more clear, the sound SUCKS !!! HDMI is VERY clear, the component video I would say is a little more grainy in appearance, but a great picture also need great sound. Here's the deal, HDMI goes into TV, DIGITAL OPTICAL (Toslink) goes out of TV to your receiver, and this is were the sound gets lost !!! When I use my xbox toslink directly to the reciever, it will turn it to Doldby Digital EX (ie, 6.1, 7.1 etc...) THE SOUND IS AWESOME !!!!!! BUT, when I use my HDMI DVD player or my DIGITAL Cable Box DVR using the HDMI inputs to the TV and the Digital Optical output, the sound does NOT turn into Dolbly Digital EX !!!!!!! Now, this really isn't an issue with the cable box because it has a digital optical output, so I can hook it directly into my receiver, however the HDMI DVD player only has a Coaxal output which also DOES NOT turn into Dolby Digital EX, so this may not be an issue for some people but for me after hearing Dolby Digital EX anything else just plain sucks. So, if you want THEATRE SOUND make sure your cable box, DVD player, etc.... has it's own Digital Optial Output. DO NOT USE THE OPTICAL OUTPUT THRU THE TV. Now, let me talk about HD, I have Digital Cable and I've watched several movies in HD, and to compare it to regular DVD's I'd say it's just a little better. I do not have a Blu-ray or HD DVD player, so I cannot comment on that, I'm guessing that those would look incredible compared to the other two. As far as the 120 refresh rate goes I have mine turned OFF !!! I really think it is a joke !! It makes moving objects look 3-D on a 2-D background, it just looks really FAKE, it reminds me of those old Twilight Zone shows, there were a handful of them that were LIVE and you could tell whenever the person walked throught the room how wierd and fake it looked. If you are buying this TV solely because of the hype behind the 120 refresh rate, YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED, that is not the selling point of this TV. I know I just bashed the hell out of this TV for a couple things, but overall I still rate it FIVE STARS !!! My problem with the sound is easily remedied, by hooking the toslink directly from the source, instead of going through TV and the 120 refresh rate CAN BE TURNED OFF !! so as much as i just gripped about that the bottom line is you can get around those issues and ENJOY watching TV and Movies and playing Games the way it was meant to be. BUY THIS TV !!

Strengths: This TV screams class when it is properly set up. Screen very uniform: no banding (Sharp) or waves (Sony) or any other uneven thing at all. Sound seems very good. No dead pixels.

Weaknesses: Barely noticeable minor flashlight in the upper corner on black screen.

Summary: Is this worth the $500-$600 upgrade from the 65 series? Absolutely!!! That automotion on Discovery Channel was an experience I have never had in video. My review is beyond fantastic for this set, with the cost not being a major drawback (Thanks Amazon). It is honestly as close as you can get to the perfect score in my opinion.

Strengths: contrast, colors, picture quality, available inputs, swivel stand, 120Hz motion

Weaknesses: none

Summary: The picture quality on this TV is absolutely amazing. With the auto-motion plus turned on, everything looks 3D. The motion will appear a little bit weird (like you're watching a live show), but after a while, you'll like it a lot.The swivel stand allows you to rotate the TV out which allows you to have more room when plugging in new devices onto the back. This TV was meant for high definition content so if you use it to watch analog or SD stuff, the picture won't look that great since the source sucks to begin with. This is not the TV's fault.I got this TV from amazon.com for $2550 shipped. This TV is currently king of the hill in my book.

Strengths: Deepest black level among LCD TVs High Perceived image depth and contrast Deinterlaces 1080i to 1080p w/o any loss in resolutionThree HDMI 1.3 inputs and even USB port Accepts 1080p/24 signal

Weaknesses: Slight judder with 1080p/24 signal [100Hz Motion Plus] erodes the 24p cinematic quality of film material, and introduces various interpolation artifactsViewing angle of 90° limits off-axis view

Summary: There is probably no condition under which I would voluntarily engage [100Hz Motion Plus] to enhance my viewing pleasure. For film material, I find that it wreaks havoc on the very fabric that gives 24p movies their surreal dreamlike temporal quality. Call me nostalgic, but I prefer my movies to look filmic/ cinematic, not as if they were shot using a cheap handheld camcorder, which is what [100Hz Motion Plus] does as it mutates 24p to hyper-real 50/ 60 fps "news mode". For fast-action sports and console gaming, [100Hz Motion Plus] can indeed preserve more detail and resolution in motion, but in doing so various interpolation artifacts ? shimmering, tearing, and sparkles around moving objects ? would creep in. I have pretty much decided against using it myself (because the artifacts jump out at me every time I enable it), but if you think its benefits outweigh its shortcomings, by all means sprinkle some [100Hz Motion Plus] onto what you're watching... Samsung have generously provided 3 levels of control to suit your palette: "Low", "Medium" and "High".Even without the aid of [100Hz Motion Plus], I found motion handling on this to be more than acceptable compared to other top of the line Plasmas.Throw in a black-level performance that's best-in-class (as long as we're talking about LCDs without wandering into local-dimming LED territory), and breathtaking picture depth that is laid down by Super Clear Panel?, and I find myself with one of the best LCD televisions on the market.

Weaknesses: even though the speakers are clear, the level of the volume needs to a little higher than I would have expected.

Summary: I researched this set for a while after seeing it in an electronics store. My wife quickly pointed out how superior the picture clarity and colors were. It was at that point thatI decided to buy one. However I went back to a different store and saw it directly next to a Sony Bravia 4. My wife commented that the Bravia

Summary: Anything that you throw at this tv is amazing, and especially bluray. THe tv has an amazing gloss panel and screen. 120hz feature is nice, but just a note it does not accept 120hz signal.. it converts it to 120hz! TBE is only noticeable to those with keen eyes or very serious AV junkies. Most HD signals via OTA are put at 1080i. But any 1080p is truly amazing. Overall there are no other sets that have this set of features for the price.

Strengths: Picture quality, numerous inputs.

Weaknesses: Nothing significant noted so far

Summary: I've spent numerous hours researching my investment of a big screen TV and finally pulled the trigger on this one. I purchased from Amazon (paying close attention to their 30 day post purchase price guarantee) for $2,550ish. Considering this was a $3,300 TV only a few months ago, the price is an great value. The picture is very clear. Everything from the HD cable shows, to the Xbox 360, to the computer monitor. Standard definition television could use more clarity, but I'm not planning on watching a lot of standard television anyway (and I never expected it to look HD, it is not). This TV was an investment for the future. In weighing the options of a less expensive set, they did not seem like they would hold their capabilities as far into the future (originally started looking at the Pioneer 5070, an amazing set at the time, but does not support 1080p, this was only about a year ago. How disappointed would I have been if I purchased that TV.) This has all the latest bells and whistles (1080p, 120hz, 25,000:1 contrast, 550 nits brightness). Some sets have better brightness, others have better contract, but none put have all the options in the same TV and certainly none at this price. There will be more and more HD channels in the future, high definition DVDs will become standard, and this TV is well positioned to make the most out of all of it for the next couple years. I have a 500sq Manhattan studio and this TV takes up almost no room looking like a movie theater screen in the apartment. It would probably benefit me if I could sit further back from the TV, but even at the short distance I sit now, I can't complain. Overall, this is, hands down, the best TV available at the price range, and in my opinion, the overall value at any price. I put my money where my mouth is, bought one, and will not look back.

Weaknesses: Triple-Ball-Effect

Summary: The Tv set is huge, and the box that it comes is even bigger. The set is very easy to setup and mount. The default settings might need some adjustments for some, but most people the tweaks arent noticeable. THe 3 HDMI ports allow you to run straight digital HD to your tv, which is nice, and also converts them to 120hz!! The TBE is noticeable, but can be get rid of through firmware update, which is very easy via USB. The contrast ratio gives you really nice blacks!

Strengths: This particular tv is very user friendly, and has many picture settings.

Weaknesses: I haven't found any weaknesses on this tv.

Summary: I had researched many LCD and Plasma tv's before I made my purchase and was set on buying a plasma until I came across the Samsung LN-T5271F LCD. I viewed this tv next to a plasma and the picture quality of the plasma didn't even come close to being as good as the Samsung LCD. The picture on this tv is extremely clear and detailed. I would recommend this tv to anybody that is looking for 52" tv and the best picture available. If you play many video games then you will want an LCD with a great picture and this Samsung will meet and exceed all of your expectations.
