Strengths: Picture on basic cable , fine tuning adjustments

Weaknesses: Have not seen any

Summary: Purchased at brick and mortar store , after they price matched one of their biggest competitor's online price - $1139.00 is a fair price for this TV - Very good packaging ( as has been in the past with other Sony purchases ) TV comes out of the box with picture mode in VIVID ( vs Standard or Custom modes ) Set pic mode to Standard and went through the adjustments as I was reading the op manual. Even with just Basic Cable ( comcast ) the picture is awesome - looking forward to many years of Sony Reliability....Will look forward to seeing the picture with HDTV signal in the future . Sound is reasonable thru the TV's speakers , Many inputs for any equipment that you want to use with this TV . Would recommend this TV to anyone looking for 32 " LCD's - IT may be a little more $$ than some , but in my opinion ( considering many years of Sony ownership ) the extra $$'s are worth spending for the quality of product !

Strengths: Cable Card slot, QAM tuner, great vivid color and life-like picture, easy to set up even for a novice self-installer. Remote is simple and intuitive.

Weaknesses: Price, but the price has been dropping lately. Only 1-HDMI port, no PIP, the base stand could be wider for more stability. A pain switching inputs from Vid 1 to Vid 7

Summary: I did extensive research on this TV before purchasing it. Everybody wants to get their biggest ?bang for their buck.? I almost exhausted myself trying to make my mind up on purchasing the Sony V32XBR2 or the Sharp 32DD50U and the Samsung LN-S3296D. They were all so similar in comparing features, but each one had a little different feature that made it unique compared to the other one. This is what made the decision so difficult. After spending countless hours on forums and internet sites I finally had to go out and physically look at the difference in picture quality and aesthetics. I had enough knowledge about the mechanical attributes and wanted to see the PQ firsthand. I have to say the Sony V32XBR2 caught my eye even before I read the Sony label. The blacks were black and the real life green was stunning. I also noticed you could venture off to the side and still get a beautiful picture without a hazy distorted view thanks to the 178 degree viewing angle. I was concerned about the possibility that this LCD might have the Mura issue which is a ?clouding effect? seen on the screen that some people seem to have with the Sony LCD?s. You can learn more about the Mura effect using your search engine. I did not have that issue with my LCD and only read about the problem on the forums. I really can see the difference hooking up the HDMI on my Dish VIP622 HD receiver. ?HD heaven? coming through this connection. But I have to admit I am using an upconversion Sony DVD player hooked up through the component cable and it is pretty close to the reception I get through the HDMI, this was one of my concerns originally about this TV having only one HDMI connection. I bought this TV through an online Pricegrabber vendor and saved $400 compared through a ?bricks & mortar? store. I am very impressed and satisfied with my purchase of this TV for my bedroom. I will be purchasing a larger model for the family room soon.

Strengths: DYNAMIC PICTURE CLARITY, TWO COMOPNENT(Y/Pb/Pr) INPUTS, FOUR WIDE MODES AND PC(D-SUB 15) INPUT.

Weaknesses: ONLY ONE HDMI INPUT

Summary: I RESEARCHED 32" LCD TV'S FOR SIX MONTHS BEFORE I FINALLY SETTLED ON THE XBR2. I COMPARED ALL OF THEM, INCLUDING SPECS. THE SHARP AQUOS AND PANASONIC ARE GOOD TV'S IN THIS CATEGORY, BUT THE XBR2'S LIVE COLOR CREATION SYSTEM(WCG-CCL BACKLIGHTING SYSTEM) IS AMAZING. I ALMOST SETTLED FOR THE SONY S-SERIES FOR ABOUT $175 LESS UNTIL I SAW THE TWO SIDE BY SIDE. I HAVE MY XBR2 HOOKED UP TO MY SONY STRED-9 SERIES 5.1 RECIEVER, SONY 400-DVD PROGRESSIVE PLAYER AND MY LOCAL COMCAST CABLE COMPANY DIGITAL SCIENTIFIC ATLANTIC DUAL TUNER DVR AND I'M IN HEAVEN!!! I CHANNEL THE SOUND THROUGH MY SURROND SPEAKERS SO I CAN'T COMMENT ON THE XBR2'S INTERNAL SPEAKERS. THIS IS TRUE HD AT IT'S BEST!

Strengths: GREAT SIZE AND EXCELLANT PICTURE

Weaknesses: NONE REALLY

Summary: VERY HAPPY WITH THIS TV!! WISH IT HAD MORE HDMI CONNECTIONS, ONLY 1 AND MORE OPTICAL CONNECTIONS. I SPENT ALOT OF TIME RESEARCHING THIS TV ON LINE AND IN THE STORES, IT CAME DOWN TO THE SAMSUNG MODEL #LNS3296D AND THE SONY KDL-V32XBR2 BASED ON SPECS AND REVIEWS AND THE FACT THAT I COULD NOT FIND THAT SAMSUNG MODEL IN STORES TO VIEW THE SONY WON OUT. CAN'T WAIT TO GET A BIG ONE FOR THE BASEMENT. YOU WON'T BE SORRY ONE BOUGHT THIS SONY!

Strengths: Picture quality, sound, easy menu

Weaknesses: None

Summary: I adore this TV! Picture quality and clarity are amazing, sound is surprisingly good, all inputs/outputs are easily accessible, and it is more compact in width with the speakers at the bottom compared to some other LCDs. Setup was a snap, the menu is very easy to navigate and the tools button is quite useful. I also like the feature that you can name your inputs and hide the ones you don?t need, so that changing between TV and the attached equipment is easy. The only gripe I have, as I believe is the case with other LCDs as well, is that subtitles are not easily accessible with one push of a button like they were in my old TV.

Strengths: Picture, options, ability to plug-in other components, ease of set-up

Weaknesses: None

Summary: I didn't think that HD TV would be that much different than regular broadcast - boy was I wrong! After our 8-year-old Zenith started losing its red color, I knew I wanted a SONY. This TV was a great investment. It was simple to set-up and start watching. After watching football on it last night, someone would have to pry it out of my hands to take it away. I would recommend this to anyone!

Strengths: clear picture, great HD, simple remote

Weaknesses: requires RF switch to use antenna and cable for over the air HD. Analog signal is poor

Summary: This is the second Sony XBR LCD TV that I have purchased. The first is a projection LCD TV and the HD is not as good as this KDL-V32XBR2. The viewing range is great for seats not directly located in front of the TV. The QAM tuner picks up some of the digital signals from my cable company, but not nearly as many as you would get with a cable box. In order to get over the air HD, you need to get a RF switch to allow you to use cable and the antenna. My first Sony has two RF inputs to eliminate the need for this switch. Still, I'm always happy with Sony products.

Strengths: Ease of set up, multiple connection options to Satellite box and DVD player, exact size specs, great picture

Weaknesses: None. I love this TV

Summary: From the time I took the TV out of the box to placing it in my bedroom armoire was a snap. My concern about fitting between shelves with 1/4 inch to spare was quickly resolved as it was placed perfectly. The picture quality with analog is superb and I cannot wait to connect to a new Satellite HD box which is on order. Don't look any further if you are looking for a 32 inch LCD. I compared this against a Samsung and Sharp Aquos. I saved over $350 purchasing this from a web retailler compared to Best Buy or Circuit City.

Strengths: The picture on this LCD alone is breath-taking and sold us upon entering the store.

Weaknesses: Thought the remote was a little large but since getting Comcast HD we use their remote 99% of the time. It was worth the few hundred more we paid for the Sony name, reviews and reputation.

Summary: Before even purchasing, I researched the 32" LCDs like crazy. I was especially looking for a bad review on this TV and couldn't find one. We couldn't wait for them to install so we took it home with us and hooked up to regular Comcast cable. Even with basic cable connection to the LCD was such an improvement. But Comcast just installed our HD box and we are in awe of the difference. I'm still able to play my DVDs and VHS tapes through my player I purchased two years ago. I only wish our entertainment center could have fit the larger screen but we were limited to the 32". We had to remove the doors on our entertainment center to fit the 32" LCD. The day we purchased we received an extra $50 off and free installation. Even the audio is great. I did not purchase extra layered cables as suggested at retail store and used Comcast's which are very good, quality cables. Why waste the $$$? Every time we turn on this Sony, we are just in amazement of the picture quality.

Strengths: Color and picture contrastSize (hard to find this kind of high quality in a 32" LCD)Sony name and track record

Weaknesses: A bit of an adjustment to get used to the narrow wide-screen picture

Summary: When our 36", 9 year-old Sony blew out over the weekend, we researched on-line to find a highly rated 32" LCD that would fit in our wall unit where the 36" used to sit. We agreed on the 32" Sony Bravia, and we have been pleased with its performance. We have always liked Sony's black tones and picture contrast; this TV is no exception. The clarity is exceptional, and we can finally watch the high-definition cable channels. We also really like the multiple choices using the "sleep" function (a small thing, but our old Sony only allowed us to set the sleep function for 30-minute increments; the Bravia gives 15-minute increments, much better for husband/wife compromise!). It took a little while to get used to the wide-screen format, especially given the set's low height; however, we've grown to really enjoy watching our favorite shows on it. We definitely recommend it!

Strengths: Very Strong colors, very natural. Good sound quality

Weaknesses: The base should be wider. I am standing the unit in a entertainment center. I used the safety strap but it still needs additional security.

Summary: First of all I looked at all the major brands recommended by consumer report in their December 2006 issue. We compared Toshiba, JVC and Sony. The Sony sets by far had the best picture quality. a much stronger and cleared picture. Then we compared the Sony V32XBR2 to the Sony KDL 32S2010 side by side in one of the local electronic stores. The question was can we justify almost $400 more for the V32XBR2. Looking at the two sets side by side it was obvious the V32XBR2 had superior picture quality. It is going to be many years until we buy another set, thus we decide to buy the V32XBR2. After getting the set the only problem I have is that the base is not wide enough. There is a safety strap holding the TV, However with small children you have to be careful.

Strengths: Ease of setup, beautiful picture, good built in speakers

Weaknesses: None that I can see

Summary: Well packaged for shipping, and easy to set up using the Quickstart instructions. More advanced setup and connections are described in the Sony owners manual. The picture is outstanding, even on analog cable. The default picture setting is on "Vivid" but should be set to "Standard" if HDTV is not immediately connected. The built in speakers provide good sound, though it would be advisable to to use external speakers with a decent sub woofer to appreciate the full potential of stereo or surround sound. The settings are highly customizable to adapt to each installation, and the variety of inputs and outputs allow almost limitless possibilities.

Weaknesses: So far so good. Remote a little awkward.

Summary: Easy to set-up. Very pleased with the product so far. Great picture with remarkable contrast. Switching inputs from cable box to DVD could be a little easier. Price not much more than competition and you really can't go wrong with a Sony.
