Strengths: An outstanding HDTV that is easy to set up and begin viewing. The picture is crystal clear and has gorgeous color. The style is sleek with black cabinetry and pedestal.
Weaknesses: Like most HDTVs I've seen, changing from one channel to the next can be a little slow.
Summary: It's hard to believe that for the price you can get such an outstanding HDTV that performs so beautifully. Viewing sports on TV especially has never been so great! I highly recommend it.

Strengths: Great picture quality and clarity via component inputs, Great sound and virtual surround, 2 HDMI ports, Built-in HDTV tuner
Weaknesses: Cheap remote control, Poor picture from game console.
Summary: I owned it for over 2 months. Even though lately I found a dead pixel (it was not there out of the box), I still feel happy buying this TV. When I walked in the store and compared it with other brands', it didn't look as sharp as the others. However, the color of this one is more natural. Watching movie on this TV is a pleasure. No matter the source is from DVD player, digital cable box or over-the-air digital channel, the picture quality and clarity are excellent. Unfortunately, it is not the same story when hooking up with my PS2 via component output (the best video output for this console). Picture is so dark. Anyway, PS2 wasn't designed to do well with HDTV. Thus I kept my standard TV for gaming. Of course, sound is much better through a Home Theater System. Without a HTS, the speakers on the TV do a very decent job. The virtual surround sound is also great . Unlike Sharp's older model, the speakers of this TV are moved from the L/R sides to the bottom of the screen. This is a wise decision because it will take up less horizontal space and people may put the frontal speakers of their HTS side by side with the TV. Two HDMI inputs and built-in HDTV tuner is simply great. Thanks to FCC they regulated manufacturers to include TV tuner in bigger size HDTV this year (and in all sizes later). If you mainly watch local TV and don't want to pay extra for HD channels, getting a under-$20 indoor antenna may be sufficient. I wasn't able to get much of local channels from over-the-air signal for my standard TV, but now I can get clear picture and sound from all my digital local channels. I am so excited. The only one thing I don't like is the remote control come with the TV. It feels cheap and it's a very limited universal control. I mean not many VCR/DVD/Audio codes are listed in the manual. This is such a disappointment. I almost bought a Sharp 26" for $2400 last year. Now I think the price of LCD TV is pretty stable. It is a good time to pick one up unless you prefer to get a true HDTV (1080p). This one is really a good TV for within 6-feet watching distance.

Strengths: Great picture. wonderful selection of connections including HDMI. Value for the price i paid. Stand was easy to assemble. Started up immediately.
Weaknesses: Complicated setting with remote. Black is not that black. Can be quite blurry if you are not right in front of the set.
Summary: I would still recommend this Sharp Aquos LCD. In fact beginning of 2007 I'm going to order the same one for the bedroom. Buy it you will not regret it.

Strengths: Full range of features, easy to set up, good sound, sleek black look.
Weaknesses: Long delay when changing channels; 3-5 seconds.
Summary: The TV has a large number of features that were key to the purchase decision. The built in QAM tuner picks up unscrambled HD stations off of my Comcast basic cable service with no need for a digital tv box and the extra fees Comcast charges. This is a bedroom tv and I sit about 10 feet from the tv with no graininess or ghosting effect. When getting closer to the tv (2-4 feet), there is a noticeable grainy effect. The tv's matte black finish and clean lines are a real plus.Great picture too.

Strengths: Great picture! Great sound! Nice looking LCD! Best price at buydig.com even with a free upgrade from 40U to 41U. Only took me 10 minutes to set it up.
Weaknesses: It takes a few seconds while changing channels.
Summary: I am glad that I made the right decision to buy Sharp AQUOS LCD after having some research work done on both LCDs and Plasmas. Very happy with what I got.

Strengths: Great picture. Great sound -- we love it. Great color -- everything in adjustment out of the box.
Weaknesses: delay when changing channels
Summary: Prices are coming down daily. We replaced our 12 year old Panasonic 27" TV that broke down with this one. It is so much lighter in weight and is affordable. Colors are great and very realistic.

Strengths: Clean picture, attractive design, decent remote.
Weaknesses: Expensive.
Summary: Clean picture with excellent colors, especially on HDTV signals. Even over the air non-HDTV broadcasts look decent. The case is nicely designed and and the remote also works well. Be careful to check to make sure that you have sized your viewing room accordingly. A 32" flat-screen TV requires a smaller room to appreciate the picture.

Strengths: Great picture color, nice design, sound quality better than expected.
Weaknesses: I think the channel changing is a little slow, but not that big a deal.
Summary: I purchased this LCD TV after researching other televisions and this one received very good ratings. I am very pleased with the style and picture color. I am only receiving analog at this time and I can't believe the quality. I would recommend this Sharp LCD TV without hesitation.

Strengths: Lots of inputs (both HDMI are HDCP compatible). The over-the-air tuner works great (I get 8 HD channels using a $10 antenna from Target). Very stylish piano-black casing.
Weaknesses: Sound isn't so great (but who cares). "Red push" noticeable but correctable.
Summary: I'm very, very happy with my TV. Using a cheap antenna from Target, I get 8 HD channels with Dolby Digital sound (by the way, you can cut up a Red-White stereo audio cord and use one of the cables to export sound to your stereo -- no need to spend big bucks if you only need a few feet of cord). The TV does have a slight reddish tint when set to the factory settings. This can be corrected with the color temperature and a combination of other things.Overall, a great deal, and i'm very happy. I recommend buydig if you're looking for a merchant, their free shipping had the TV to me in 3 days.

Strengths: 1: Slick design: like the neat black color frame. 2: I can get many channels (including some HD ones) over the air with its built-in HD tuner.3: Bright color: better than Samsung and Sony.
Weaknesses: change from one channel to the other takes 3 seconds or so. But it seems every model LCD TV has the same issue. Did not notice other weakness so far.
Summary: I paid less than $900 for this TV buying online, but it is better than those at $1200-1500 (for example, overpriced Sony). It is well spent! It works very well with DVD and HD channels. The stand is very easy to install. The menu is very easy to follow. This LCD TV rocks!!!

Strengths: Screen (beautiful, when calibrated), Price (now under $900 at many web merchants), 2 HDMI inputs
Weaknesses: can't find codes to program the remote to operate an Oppo upscaling DVD player or Comcast Motorola DVR cable box, no DVI port though the HDMI input can handle a PC connection
Summary: Fantastic value now that this LCD TV can be found for under $900, including shipping, at several web merchants. After calibration, the screen is absolutely beautiful. Includes many input options, including 2 HDMI and 2 Component ports. Only lacks a DVI port but a computer can be connected via one of the HDMI ports (at 1280x720 pixel resolution). 11/11/2006 update - just connected my Macbook through the HDMI port and it overscans just a bit but is perfect for playing videos in full screen. Now even more satisfied with the tv than when I first wrote my review - have been able to further calibrate the LCD screen to the point where standard resolution broadcast comes in quite nicely. Do not be discouraged with the colors when turned on first out of the box - get a calibration DVD to assist with fine-tuning the tv (Sound & Vision Home Theater Tuneup is what I used but there are several out there - just google LCD HDTV calibration).

Strengths: My new HDTV was so easy to set up! With an indoor HD antenna, I was watching my sports in picture and sound quality like never before!!! Even my 6 yr. old can operate the remote.
Weaknesses: None to report, as of yet. Like any new set, it will take awhile to narrow down my picture quality preferences. However, I do not consider this a weakness at all.
Summary: I had absolutely no problems connecting this set to my DirecTV receiver, indoor HD antenna and home entertainment system (and I am a technological novice, at best). Therefore, I recommend this TV for its simplicities---operation of remote control, basic functions, and sound and picture customizations, as well as its qualities. Being a sports and movie fan, I am thoroughly satisfied with the visual and audio clarity. After doing much research for a TV within my price range, I believe I got this for a steal at under $900.

Strengths: Beautiful picture and features
Weaknesses: Slow switching between channels, especially from HD to non-HD
Summary: I purchased this TV from Best Buy in June 2006 and was extremely pleased with it until November 2006 when it started exhibiting the "red LED no picture" symptom. What happens is you power on the TV, a message to "Please Wait" flashes quickly and then the display remains black while the sound comes on and the Red LED stays lit. This happened infrequently at first and then by December it would happen about 6 out of 10 times we turned it on. Somedays you have to turn it on and off 15 - 20 times before you get a picture. Having purchased the Extended Service Plan from Best Buy I wasn't too worried at first and called them on 12/18/06 to report the problem and request a repair, expecting they could send someone the next day to repair. Needless to say, after many many calls and two visits to the store, Best Buy has been unable to obtain the spare parts and finally, on 2/8/07, agreed to replace the TV with another brand/model. I did some research on the net and found that this is such a common problem with these TV's that there is now a shortage of the parts to repair them.
