Strengths: Wifi, battery, features, iTunes, available accessories,
Weaknesses: External speaker, sound quality, iTunes
Summary: From the outside, this is a sexy looking mp3 player, but it doesn't end there. Once it's turned on and you go through all the features, like Wi-Fi/VPN, email configuration using POP (Gmail, yahoo, AOL, etc) or Exchange, maps, weather and so on, you realize that the iPod touch is very feature rich. Battery life is good as long as you keep the default settings. The long battery life comes from a setting called Auto-Lock. It is set to 1 minute by default. When using the iPod, the screen stays fully lit and when you stop using it, within 30-40 seconds the screen goes dim and by the 1 minute mark it shuts off and locks itself. If you set it to 5 minute or never, you will notice a significant drop battery power left.ITunes software is very good. Very well organized with its Library and Playlist, perfect integration with the iTunes store and I have not had any issues with syncing. Here is what I don't like about iTunes:1. When trying to modify an album, like trying to add Artwork, it will not accept it. I did notice the new update finally added 1 or 2, but no luck with the others. 2. When setting up iTunes for the first time and you select "Keep iTunes music folder organized", the setting could take an album and split up songs into other folders.3. I store my music in FLAC format so I have to convert it MP3/aac for the iPod. So I convert my albums to the desktop and then dragged them into the iPod and deleted the folder afterwards. Well, that doesn't work because once the folders are removed, so are the songs from the iPod and it says "could not find" whatever songs you dragged in, when syncing. The workaround that I found was to enable "Copy files to iTunes music folder when adding to library". The drawback is that it takes up more HD space. Fortunately for me, I have terabytes of space. Now for the audio quality. When it comes to the external speaker: Nice try Apple, better luck next time. It's there, but don't expect a lot out of it. Audio quality is decent, but not great. I had a Samsung P2 before purchasing the Touch and the P2 had much better audio quality. Not much you can do here. If audio quality is your primary focus in an MP3 player then look elsewhere, but if you?re looking for a player that you can check your email with, browse the internet and look at photos, look no further than the iPod Touch. When I owned the P2, I would walk by all the accessories for the iPod and resented the fact that it had so many accessories to choose from while I could not even find a case from my P2. Well, now I can say that I am glad I own an iPod and can purchase a number of accessories including a case that straps around my arm when I go to the gym.Any regrets you might ask? Yes, I wish I had the 32GB version.

Strengths: Multi-touch screen and built in speaker.
Weaknesses: It is not strong as last Gen.
Summary: I bought it in September. 2008. It is a good product from Apple. But the screen was not strong enough. It was cracked after 1 week. Then I got a replacement one. After one week, it was died. It stopped at the Apple logo when I reboot it. Then I asked for another replacement. I still do not receive it.

Strengths: Stylish and powerful, yet with that tightly integrated, intuitive Apple interface
Weaknesses: Wish it were cheaper.
Summary: Very stylish, full featured and powerful, yet with that trademark Apple intuitive interface that is tightly integrated with the Apple operating system. Wish it were cheaper, but appears to be very well built and probably has many years of useful life before it becomes outdated.
