Strengths: SmallLooks goodEasy to use

Weaknesses: Seems a little flimsy

Summary: I finally broke down and bought an mp3 player for myself. the Creative Zen V Plus is a nice looking unit, comes with expected accessories and was simple to load with music/photos. I worry about the menu controls as they seems a little flimsy. Screen is easy to view and my unit has worked fine (so far) without a hiccup including a free fall of about 6 feet from a treadmill I was running on.

Strengths: Small, fits perfectly in the hand, great interface, rugged design, plenty of memory, realistic sound.

Weaknesses: Somewhat low resolution screen (but still very good), seems to be geared up only for Windows XP & Vista (but works on Mac & Linux, nonetheless).

Summary: After doing a lot of on-line research, looking for a replacement for my daughter's old, broken RIO MP3player, I settled on the Creative Zen V Plus. Just from what I read on-line, I was very impressed; but as soon as I got it in my possession I knew I'd made the right choice. :-) I got the 4GB model for under $100 delivered and it does everything I expected of it and more. Though obviously totally geared-up for Windows XP & Vista, it works perfectly with both Mac & Linux with readily available free software. I'm sure my daughter will put this outstanding device thorough its' paces in the coming weeks and let me know if there are any issues; but I can't speak highly enough of it, at the moment. I'm sure you won't be disappointed, either.

Strengths: Very small. Flash drive.

Weaknesses: Joystick kind of small.

Summary: The Creative Zen V 4 gb MP player is a nice small flash-memory based player. No chance of a crashed hard drive or skipping. Not too sturdy feeling, but you should take care of your electronics equipment anyways.

Strengths: nice design, compact, good price

Weaknesses: Creative has serious QC issues. Wonder why the warranty is so short?

Summary: If you never want to use your MP3 player and just want to look at it, this is a fantastic one. The physical design is amazing, and the OLED display is wonderful. Too bad it died on me after less than 24 hours of use! Creative advertises their 1 year warranty, but aren't too good about trumpeting the fact that the labor warranty is 90 days. So you could end up having to pay more than the player is worth after having owned it for only a few months. Luckily mine died well within the warranty period.

Strengths: Small, Clear Sound, Plenty extra features

Weaknesses: Not easy to navigate

Summary: The player is so tiny that could be easily put into any pocket. But it is definitely not short of features, FM radio and voice recording. The sound is crystal clear and loud if paired with a good earphone. Strongly recommended for people who do not want to go with IPOD Nano.

Strengths: Small in size, good capacity and features overall

Weaknesses: Could have had more options to manage songlists and delete or add songs to categories

Summary: Small in size, good capacity and features overall. Could have had more options to manage songlists and delete or add songs to categories. Overall a good mp3 player for the price. Very easy to use and easy to handle. Long lasting battery life.

Strengths: Sleek, Ease of operation

Weaknesses: Smaller joystick

Summary: This is a great flash memory based MP3 player. Line-in recording is such a useful feature. Sound quality is amazing. Relatively smaller joystick makes it difficult to execute commands at times.

Strengths: The Zen is very light weight and excellent for jogging with. I am also very pleased with durability so far, I use my Zen for mainly outdoor activities and the heat/humidity has had no negative effect

Weaknesses: Some of the aspects on the menus are not very intuitive, but once referencing the manual, it is not too difficult to figure out.

Summary: I really like the Zen and it has been great for my intended use. The Zen is more durable than the last player that I had - which only lasted me for just over a year before it died. I am looking forward to many years with the Zen.

Strengths: Good sound quality, flash-drive, bright & clear screen

Weaknesses: Short battery life, cheap-looking joystick, bad file management

Summary: This mp3 player fell short of my expectations. When it arrived, I was surprised that it's much smaller than it looks on-line. The joystick has a cheap feeling to it and I'm really worried that it may break soon. Bad file management. Until now I still don't know how to build a playlist. Also shorter battery life than advertised. They say 15 hours but I found it to be 6 hours at most. Well, maybe if you don't browse songs or pictures, it will play longer? The advantage of the Creative Zen V is that it has good sound quality. Also very bright & clear screen. And flash-drive is more durable than hard-drive players, I've heard. Overall, I'm quite satisfied with this player although it could have been better. Got a Sandisk sansa m250 two weeks ago and it froze right after 4 hours of use. I sent it back to Amazon and grabbed this one instead. Had it for more than 10 days and it's still working. In addition, 4GB is more than enough for my favorite songs.

Strengths: Bright OLED screen, shuffle capability, photo viewer.

Weaknesses: Does not play videos.

Summary: This player is great. It has a large, vibrant OLED screen. It can store 4GB of mp3's and photos on it. The nub for navigation is very tactile and good to use. Small size but not too small. Overall good player.

Strengths: small, lightweight, color, USB rechargeable battery, stereo line-in

Weaknesses: Only some WMA formats are supported, lossless and pro are not. Included Media Source utility will only manually downsample files one at a time.USB key files in a separate partition from music.

Summary: Doesn't do what it says it does, as it only has minimal WMA support. Audio format conversion utility isn't useful. File management is poorly done. Kids toy. Better than cassette tape...

Strengths: It is so small, yet packed with a punch! The screen is crystal clear and the Zen media explorer allows for easy orgnaizing of your information. Great sound quality too!

Weaknesses: Joystick is a bit small and I have small hands and short nails though I use the tip of my nail and all is good. The on/off/lock lever did bust, but I exchanged it & now its great!

Summary: I would definitely recommend this mp3 player. I really like teh Creative products and started with the Zen Nano Plus (my 1st one), but quickly realized that I would want more than 1 GB (I listen to audio programs) so I upgraded to this one. A real great value as far as I'm concerned!!

Summary: This player is very small but feels solid and comfortable in my hand. The flash memory means no skipping and is more durable than micro hard drive. The screen is bright and easy to read. The sound is excellent as usual with creative products. The controls are easy to use and intuitive. I really like this player.

Strengths: Size, bookmarking feature, sound quality

Weaknesses: Very poor instructions and customer technical support

Summary: I purchased this product specifically to listen to audiobooks and was drawn by its ability to bookmark places in the audiobook when turning off the player. What I did not receive was any instruction on how to find or use the bookmarking function. In fact, the directions included with the player were so poor that I couldn't even find out how to reset the clock correctly. I tried using the help web site but it was not able to be downloaded due to security settings on my computer. I resorted to sending an email to the Customer Service staff. After waiting four days for a response, I got an email with no helpful information, just another link to another website. If not for my husband finally figuring out how to use the bookmark function, I still would not know how to use it and probably would have returned it. Why can't companies understand that they should include a disk with an Operations Manual with all products like this?
