Strengths: Easy to learn to use. Helpful navagation screens. Large display.
Weaknesses: Control button a little difficult to use. Could use a better charging system.
Summary: This is a great MP3 player for the money. It is easy to use, can store more than just music (pictures) and is just the right size. If you purchase the AC wall charger and the DC care charger you will never run out of power. Once charged the battery lasts surprisingly long. With the nice size screen it is easy to view stored pictures. All in all it is a great little player than stores nicely in your pocket or around your neck with the supplied lanyard.

Strengths: Nothing!
Weaknesses: I wish the joystick was a bit larger but overall a good player.
Summary: This has great music quality and it can hold enough songs that it doesn't get you bored but for those really serious people don't get a 1 gig. It is very durable and is really easy to maneuver in ways such as the analog stick (small but still good) and it was well organized. The only down side is that it only has a 15 hour battery life.

Strengths: small, durable, LCD big enough to view decent photos, great bundle of audio software
Weaknesses: can't use USB-based cell phone adapter to charge nor can the device be charged through port of USB hub
Summary: The player runs great, sounds awesome, and is easy to setup. Setting the clock was a little awkward at first. Took a while to figure out that i can't charge the player by hooking it to USB hub (has to be the computer's direct USB port or special adapter).Shipped literature was misleading in indicating video capability. There's no video clip playback.

Strengths: Well engineered, smart design, screen options and user interface easily viewed. Selectable main screen catagories. Selectable music library-playlist, albums, artists, gentry, all tracks. Good earbuds.
Weaknesses: Cheap strap. USB cable is only 1 ft long which limits access to rear usb ports. Comes with a cloth sac, for storage, not very useful as mobile player case.
Summary: First mp3 player, the white/orange color is much more appealing than the online pic. It didn't connect to my older computer, sent Creative support screen pics of what I was seeing. Creative support said I needed a 2.0 USB port. Bought that it still didn't work. It works fine on my daughters computer, for now will use her computer..When I get the time I'll reload my operating system and get fresh service updates..The supplied book with the mp3 player has about 10% usability, by that I mean most of what you want to know isn't in the book. There is a manual on the software disk which will download with the programs. It has most everything you need on it. I've been to Creative's forum which has answers to about anything else that may come up..Use the Zen explorer/organizer, it works like windows explorer. It loads mp3's, mp3 pics automatically by album. It will also load other pics and data..There is a function called removable disk, seen by my older computer and other computers and doesn't require software. It is user defined partition as diabled/128mb/256mb/512mb. I prefer not using this partition as it limits my usable space as an mp3 player..This player does what I need although I should have bought one with more memory.

Strengths: size, cost , features, quality
Weaknesses: non- if you want more you can pay more for capacity increase or go all the way to the V Plus or M version to include video, FM, etc.
Summary: I previously bought the Zen M, top of the line, with 30GB capacity, larger screen, video, etc, and am thrilled with it. Bought 2 of the Zen V's for my twin grandaughters and they are thrilled. Just bought a third for my daughter.

Weaknesses: No radio, reliablility is unkown
Summary: This is my first mp3 player ever and I love it. In a world filled with ipod, this Zen V MP3 Player is quite unique. For about $110 bucks it is definitely a must see for mp3 seekers.
