Summary: After getting several cheap MP3 players that quickly malfunctioned or really never worked properly I wanted to spend a little more for a 'good one.' I was looking into getting an IPOD when someone suggested I try a Nano. I'm so glad I did! It was very user-friendly. It worked with the existing music player software my computer came with. I'm not very good with computers and putting music into my players has been a little hard for me, but with this device it was soo easy. The sound quality is also great. I put all the music I had in it and still have over half the space left. I think 1GB is plenty and now don't know what I would've done with all the space on an IPOD. If anything happens to it I will be sure to buy this brand again.

Strengths: Small, lightweight, price, 1GB, FM tuner

Weaknesses: battery cover

Summary: This is a good unit for MP3's and file transfers - great sound quality and sufficient size. My only complaint is that the battery cover tab broke after carrying it around in my jeans pocket, but it doesn't need the cover to hold the battery in place. I was very impressed with it today; my wife put it through the washer and dryer today in my workout shorts and survived unharmed - listening to it right now!

Strengths: The Zen is a very small lightweight MP3 for $59.99, with so many extras. Also has a FM tuner, downloads quickly and the sound is great with my Sennheiser head set. In my opinion "Zen" beats iPod.

Weaknesses: The earbuds are useless with any MP3 player even with iPOD.When you have a great audio player why not supply good earbuds? I purchased my Sennheiser for $50.00, just to listen to your great "ZEN".

Summary: With much better earbuds, "Zen" would be a first place MP3 player in my opinion. The best part is that I purchased my Sennheiser headset before the "Zen", just because I tried the headset on at least 20 MP3 players before buying my "Zen"; that's how much I wanted good music! I would buy another "Zen" without question! Excellent product!

Strengths: Small, long battery life, easy to download songs.

Weaknesses: Toggle small, buttons hard to push.

Summary: Just got the creative zen nano and so far I'm pretty pleased with it other than the few things I mentioned. It was very easy to download songs and the feature that sold me was you can delete a song directly from the player. A very nice feature if you are like me and like something one day and hate it the next. This is my second mp3. First I purchased the Scandisk Sansa and it was terrible. After two locking up on me I decided to go with this one. The price is affordable and it is easy to use. Only had it a few days so we will see if it plays a week from know when I want to use or if it will just quite working like the Sansa. I purchased other earbuds because the one that came with the player are very uncomfortable. Booklet doesn't explain much but it is so easy to use there is not much to explain. We'll see how it last. So far I'd say get one if your looking to buy a mp3.

Strengths: i love it

Weaknesses: none

Summary: I would say that this product has surpassed my expectations that I got form reading the reviews about it. It's the best in it's kind! I would recommend this product to everyone who wants the all-in-one little something under your hand at all times(because it's very tiny and light-weight); my estimate about battery life is more than what they say 18 hours if you buy good battery of course. Also the prise(even on the product's website) is very competitive! just $139.99; well, I got it from www.compuplus.com for $109.95 plus shipping($19.25), no tax... and I'm very, very happy with this purchase!!!

Strengths: Size, Sound Quality, Features, Accessories, Price, Mass Storage Device

Weaknesses: only 1gb max size, screen somewhat small

Summary: This is a great little player that cannot be beat for the price. Try to find a better mp3 player out there for around seventy dollars. Great features and very portable. This has great sound quality, and i noticed no buzz when using the backlight like some have stated (even with very accurate in-ear headphones). FM reception was very good, and the UI is very easy. Screen could have been larger and could use a artist/album readout on the display. Also tracks must be named with track number first to play in the correct order. Overall though, amazing deal at this pricepoint. At MSRP this is 4 stars but at seventy bucks it has to be 5 stars

Strengths: Very small and lightEasy button control and no unplanned clicksGood DisplayExtremely easy music transferWorkout arm band includedCan be used as a USB drive for files

Weaknesses: Does not support playlistsDoes not have bookmarking featureArmband is tight unless you have small arms

Summary: This is my 3rd dedicated mp3 player (used a treo 600, still use MDA for it occasionally, and use Nuvi in car). My first was an iPod which was good except for not supporting mp3 format which is what finally made me switch. The second was a Rio forge which I really liked because it had a SD/MMC expansion slot and supported playlist and bookmarks. The one downside was occasional problems that made me have to take the battery out for 15 minutes or reload songs. This was from the need to use the rio software to transfer mp3s. The Zen Nano Plus has been great for about 5 days so far and I have used it a lot. I cannot speak to the durability or longevity as of yet. Overall I am pretty happy with it. The buttons are great since there are few and they support multiple purposes. The battery life is excellent (using rechargeable AAA battery). I have been able to use file naming and folders to create playlists since the player can play specific folders on the device. I would definitely recommend this product for music listening. If you listen to audio books or long mp3 files then your money would be better spent on a different product.

Strengths: Easy to use, small and light, FM radio and voice recorder.

Weaknesses: Toggle switch can be difficult to use or manuever when you are running.

Summary: I love this mp3 player and would tell anyone to buy one over the over-rated and over-priced iPod. The drag and drop method of moving songs onto the device is simple. It is at such a reasonable price I own two!!

Strengths: Size, Ease of Use

Weaknesses: FM reception

Summary: I haven't had much experience with MP3 players (I am a little behind technology-wise) and this player is extremely easy to set up and use. Additionally, this player is extremely small so it works great for when I am jogging. The only thing that needs improvement though is the radio. I can't get very good reception at all no matter where I am.

Weaknesses: None

Summary: I would and have recommended the Nano to all. I light how it is easy to use and understand. I've only had it for 2 weeks, but have been using it everyday. I like how FM radio is also included. I haven't tried the microphone, but that is my next step. Great product!!!

Strengths: small, light, battery lasts long, unbeatable price, great sound

Weaknesses: N/A so far

Summary: I got this player for work-out. It's light, small and very convenient to carry with when I exercise. The battery last longer than my bigger capacity apple ipod. The player sounds as great as my ipod. However, it's much cheaper than ipod after rebates and promotions.

Strengths: Battery life, sound quality for the price, EQ adjustments.

Weaknesses: Display a bit small, lack of playlist (not a big deal for me), menu somewhat inefficient.

Summary: Good mp3 player for the price I paid and it's even cheaper now. Works well, drag-and-drop is super easy...the mp3 player is recognized as another USB storage drive. Battery life is very good and I think the sound is pretty good for the price/size (and I'm pretty picky on the sound). I ditched the included headphones and bought a better set. I don't know why anyone would buy an iPod over this unless you love buying songs via iTunes.

Strengths: Easy browsing through playlist, armband, long battery life, and customizable playlist.

Weaknesses: earbuds arent the best when comparing to what comes with an ipod shuffle or nano.

Summary: This is my 2nd mp3 player I have ever owned and am so far impressed with it. A plus could be an expansionable slot like the e140 has from sandisk. But great player for the money when comparing the apples prices.

Strengths: compact, great sound, long battery life, easy hook-up to car cassette player, returns to same place in recording after turning off

Weaknesses: instructions are almost nonexistent, no bookmark function, earbuds difficult to keep in place

Summary: This is my first MP3 player, and I specifically bought it to play audiobooks from netlibrary. com, so it needed to be compatible with WMA files from Windows Media Player. I had read from another review that it returns to the same place after being shut off. This is quite important for netlibrary because the tracks can be 10 to 15 hours long without breaks! Well, it does return to the same place after being shut off, but if you change to a different book, the FM radio, or any other track, you have to start at the beginning as it has no bookmark function. This is its one serious drawback and should be addressed by Creative. The fastforward function (when you are in a track)can be quite slow when a tract is 14 hours long! Otherwise, the sound and quality appear to be outstanding.

Weaknesses: Well I would not call this a weaknesses, but the radio reseption is weak and the in-lne recording doesn't have the best quality - let's just say it's preaty fair.

Summary: I would say that this product has surpassed my expectations that I got form reading the reviews about it. It's the best in it's kind!
