Strengths: NA and Europe maps included and accurate! Voice directions are clear. Pocket sized.
Weaknesses: Battery runs down too soon when using it walking. Email support can be slow to solve a problem. Entering data by spoken word doesn't always work, and does not work at all with German routes.
Summary: A marriage saver! Clear navigation advice that works, means no more frustrating arguments, getting lost, missing turns, on trips. Returning to a hotel when tired, or to a restaurant ASAP is now a snap, instead of a frustration.

Strengths: lane guidance and accurate map.
Weaknesses: hard to see screen with direct sunlight. Still to early to tell yet.
Summary: This is my first gps. I've only used it about 2 times already. So far it has been a great gps. We went to Staten Island today to test it out I usually dread going to Staten Island with the traffic when you get off of the Verrazano Bridge it is always so congested. It was great to have the TomTom to direct us with taking the streets instead of the highway (278). I never took the streets because I don't know Staten Island well. I did not get lost once. The directions were so accurate. The lane guidance also worked very well. It told us which lane to be in before we got off the highway to take the streets. With TomTom I feel more confidence taking backroads now. Let me just say that it was a pleasure to have TomTom to direct me. The TomTom 930T has so many features that I still have to try out. I like that you can also switch the TomTom to walk mode. I will be trying that out when we go camping this summer. The one thing that TomTom should give with all of their gps's is a case. I will update this review after the summer as I will be using it more often.

Strengths: Fast, accurate street names and locations, even new streets. Voice is clear and easy to understand. Compact and has a nice size screen.
Weaknesses: Very difficult to see in direct sunlight. In my area sometimes shows driveways as intersecting roads, and sometimes not accurate as far as street numbering.
Summary: On the street where I live, it shows my home address just over 1/2 mile to the east of me, so street numbering is not always accurate. The suction cups for the RDS antenna keep coming off, but are easy to reattach. I wish it came with some sort of carry case, even a vinyl one, as GPS are frequent theft targets, you want to remove it and carry it with you, and I had to purchase a carry case for it. Overall, the quality and performance of the unit shines through. I am very happy with the purchase and would purchase another one in the future if the need arises. My daughter loves it for Geo-caching

Strengths: IQ Routes technology, Advanced Lane Guidance, easy user interface. Free mapshare updates, customizable. Great build quality.
Weaknesses: Anti-reflective screen not very visible in bright sunlight or highly overcast days.
Summary: This is my 3rd GPS device in 4 months and they say 3rd time's the charm and this holds true. I knew nothing about portable GPS units so my first one was the Navigon which was a mistake from the start, no included USB cable and the built-in map was outdated and Navigon does not provide latest map guarantee within the first 30 days of purchase like TomTom. I took back the Navigon and on a whim bought a TomTom One XL-S, loved it and it offered everything the Navigon didn't for cheaper. I drive for a living so I still needed more features so I sold my One XL-S and bought the TomTom 930T from Crutchfield. I have to say that this GPS device was much more than I expected it to be. The price is very good for everything you get. In the box includes a bluetooth remote, USB desktop charging cradle, traffic receiver, vehicle power adaptor, windshield mount, and CD Rom to install TomTom's Home software to manage map updates and preset your trips right from your desktop. The TomTom ships with Mac OS X and Windows compatible management software. TomTom's entire line is fully customizable, something that is rare, limited or non-existent on other competitor's GPS units. You can change the screen colors with an unlimited amount of color schemes, show specific POI's on the screen during navigation, show current driving speed on screen, show exceeded speed on screen, show current street on screen, etc. There are a lot of ways to customize the screen and the "Go" series can change the pointer icon to an unlimited amount of car designs downloaded free from TomTom's Home software. The best feature of the 930T is the IQ Routes technology (a feature Garmin should have for the high price they charge). This technology calculates your planned route based on which day of the week it is, stops signs, road blocks, hills, toll bridge back ups and holidays and decides which route is faster to help you avoid those things. Personally I have not found another device that does this as most others just calculate the route but don't take into account things that slow down your trip. This feature is key! Many times I have missed taking the right junction from my older TomTom even though the voice says to keep left, the 930T has the Advanced Lane Guidance feature that shows a static image of a reality view of the junctions showing the actual signage of the highway and a huge flashing arrow on the actual road of which lane to stay in. Some areas don't show the static image so TomTom thankfully includes arrows on the screen that do this at every junction or turnoff. The quality of the text to speech is almost as good as a real human voice, this is something I noticed others including Garmin fail at, most of them sound digitized. The included audio out jack allows for connection to your auxiliary jack in your car for text to speech through your car speakers or for listening to the built-in MP3 player. Something very unique about this unit I liked very much was that it included a very nice remote that mounts to your dashboard, the remote controls every feature on the 930T. Built-in bluetooth connects to several cell phones for hands-free. Microphone quality is great. The included RDS-TMC traffic receiver is a wire that uses suction cups to stick along side of the windshield and plugs in the bottom of the 930T. In my area, San Francisco (california) the traffic updates work flawlessly. If there's a backup the 930T will automatically re-route you although you can choose to stay to the same route. One other nice feature is the Enhanced Positioning Technology or what's known as "dead reckoning". In San Francisco there are a lot of skyscrapers that block the satellites which throws off most GPS devices. The 930T will continue your navigation regardless of loss of reception, this is a much needed feature for me where I live. Lastly the screen quality of this unit is absolutely beautiful with detailed maps of high resolution and great color quality unfortunately sunlight is it's worst enemy. TomTom included an anti-reflective screen that has a coating that does a great job reducing glare however it reduces screen viewing as well. This was most disappointing since this is their flagship model. I have checked other versions of the "Go" series and they are all the same. It's not unusable but it could be a lot better. While in the car it's not a problem as long as it's positioned properly but I do think TomTom could have done a better job at this, sometimes I wonder if humans ever test these things before production. As I mentioned, it's not a problem for me and it won't be for most people as long as the device is positioned in the car to avoid the sunlight. There are so many features on this device for the low price that it's shortcomings are worth dealing with so for me this one's a keeper. Incidentally there are two models, 930 and 930T, the 930(T) stands for 930 Traffic Edition and inclu
