Strengths: stong signal outdoors as well as indoors. accurate data. all-in-one functionality

Weaknesses: garmin is nickel and diming consumers. the unit comes with no usable map and you have to shell out a little over a hundred to buy a topo map. what more, there are 3 kinds of it. so you figure it out.

Summary: Overall, it's a sturdy and dependable unit. Long lasting lithium ion battery and pretty tough waterproof unit. It has an accurate compass and altimeter although you can manually configure it out. It also has a weather channel that updates on demand on your current location as well as on nearby areas and states. On the downside, it's pretty darn expensive so be prepared to shell out. It's the corvette of handheld gps.
