Strengths: Unit works great, is fast, and is loaded with nice features over my 660. Save the 200 on bluetooth for an earbud.
Weaknesses: No case, sattelite accuracy screen, wall charger, or screen protector. Dont count on the FM transmitter working unless you're W-E-L-L away from a city.
Summary: Thanks to a broken window in my parking garage in DC, my nuvi 660 was stolen and I needed a replacement. Dont realize how much you miss these things till they're gone.Nuvi 750 was worth the wait. Only dissapointments are that it doesnt come with a wall charger or a carrying case. Also a screen protector is well worth it (after my 660 experience).Lastly I miss the screen that allows you to watch the sattelites being aquired and tells you the accuracy of the signals.I didnt use the bluetooth or FM transmitter in DC. Too noisy and much better other alternatives. Got the 750 and saved the 200 dolaars. As a side note... the same traffic receiver works on this unit as well.hope this helps.JimPS... love the route planning and multi-destination feature too...

Strengths: This unit is easy to use and understand; usually is very quick to find the satellites and determnine position; always quickly finds the desired route; says street names with detailed instructions.
Weaknesses: Does not "ding ding" when approaching a turn. Sometimes it says the street too late, which trains you to always be watching the unit for upcoming turns.
Summary: Before buying the Garmin 750, I used the Magellan 4040. There were several things I didn't like about the Magellan, including that the map would go completely blank whenever it needed to recalculate. I returned the Magellan and bought the Garmin 750. Not only does it behave much better, but it's also an MP3 player, will read books to me through my speakers, and many other cool features. I do miss the "ding ding" though to let me know a turn is imminent. Best price was found at Costco.com.

Strengths: Extremely user friendly for us non-computer people, 4.3 widescreen for easy viewing, great vocal directions and accuracy.
Weaknesses: The so called user manual is terrible. No screen protector or carrying case.
Summary: We have been looking into a GPS and read lots of review. Let's face it, nothing is perfect but this comes close and you can't please everyone. The main reason for us purchasing the 750 unit was its user friendly to us non-computer people. The 4.3" widescreen is super for us. Don't have to strain to see the screen and you get vocal directions as well. At night, the vocal directions are very helpful. How many times have you passed a road you were supposed to turn on? Well, this unit reminds you a few times before you're supposed to turn. Some reviews didn't like the audio but it was great for us.The very first time we plugged it into our Ford Ranger and the satellite came up within 2-l/2 to 3 minutes at most. I was pleasantly surprised because some reviews say it took them longer. We live out in the country with lots and lots of trees with no problem. Living out in the country, we were amazed to see small lanes and roads appear on the screen as we traveled along our route. We even tried to trick it and went past our final destination to see what it would do. It immediately tried to take us to the next road and turn us around, we went the opposite way and sat in a parking lot for 30 seconds to see what it would do. It recalculated our directions and gave us new directions to our final destinations. Awesome. We purchased through Amazon for $451 + $7.87 s/h with NO tax.As for the manual, well that's another story. You can read through the several page booklet but you'll find better tips on the Internet. When ordering, you might want to purchase a carrying case as we're taking it with us or putting it in the glove box so it doesn't tempt someone to break into the vehicle. The 750 does not come with bluetooth capabilities so if you're interested in that option go with the 760 model for a few hundred dollars more. Not worth it to us. We are 100% satisfied with this unit.

Strengths: Pre-loaded, decently charged.
Weaknesses: Not packaged with an AC charger, no included software.
Summary: I've owned a Nuvi 350 for a few years, and would recommend it as a good GPS. I purchased the 750 for less than I originally paid for the 350, and am happy with its performance so far. The maps are up to date (2008) and it has been accurate up to this point. Boot up and sat acquisition are quick. It is taking some work to get used to the differences in menus, i.e. the Spell Name function is under POI instead of being one of the first choices available. The unit is somewhat slimmer than the 350 but wider, and has the antenna built in rather than flip out. Good product, highly recommend at a good sale price.

Summary: Great GPS unit.Less than other Garmins as it doesn't have bluetooth, which i dont need.I don't know about other GPS makers but you have to compare closely the Garmin models as one may include an AC charger another one wont. One has case the other model doesn't.All in all works great

Strengths: 4.3" widescreen display. Text-to-speech. Sorts multiple destinations for most efficient route. Has "Where Am I?" feature which shows you closest hospitals, police stations, gas stations, etc.
Weaknesses: No bluetooth, no European maps included with unit, otherwise same as Nuvi 770 but $250 less.
Summary: I was excited to find the Garmin Nuvi 750 at newegg.com for $51 less than the membership warehouse store (whose name rhymes with slams), plus saved $37 on sales tax. Nice. I had my sights set on the Nuvi 360 which was on sale at another warehouse store, but I liked the larger widescreen display and the multiple destination routing on the 750. The 750 also can mark your car location when you park, so that you can use it to find your car after shopping, etc. Thanks to my Valentine for buying me the Garmin Nuvi 750. Geocaching here we come.Update - 3-1-2008:I received the unit and have been using it for about a week. It is easy to use, the voices used for the TTS feature are clear, the display bright and easy to read. I have not yet listened to music via the on-board media player but I have listened to a few minutes of "books on tape" in the Audible format. They sound good. I added some software to my laptop that enables me to download geocaching waypoint information to the unit. The locations are added to the Nuvi as "Favorites", which is a list of user generated locations. Easy to use. The on-board storage is large enough for storing many pictures, music and Audible files, and geocaching waypoints, but I added a 2 GB SD card to expand that. I am very happy with the purchase.

Strengths: The GPS give you everything you will be needing to get your to you destination. Its small compact design makes for a great addition to any cars dash.
Weaknesses: Have not found one to date.
Summary: This was purchased for my father who is 82 and he has always possessed great navigating skills, which after words I thought giving him a GPS as a gift, he just may have turned it down. But he blew us away at how he has excepted the GPS and its capability, was far beyond our expectation. This has turned out to have been a great gift, in addition a big help to him and our mother.

Strengths: widescreen , slim profile, qwerty keypad
Weaknesses: no bluetooth, not portable
Summary: I had a 360 for awhile now I upgraded. I like the widescreen as it adds more real estate but at a battery life cost (5 hours compared to 9 w/ the 360). I love that it does not have an antenna that you flip up everytime and the new firmware gives it faster satellite detection. However, I miss having bluetooth on it since now laws in California don't let you use a cell phone while driving. Also even though its slimmer in design, I feel it is not as portable as the 360, plus it does not include a case.

Weaknesses: Hight price.
Summary: I used a Magellan 3000T for over a year, I was very happy with it. However, after my experience with their customer experience due to the problem with my car charger(it's been over 2 months and still havn't received it, they promised 1 week! I called a couple times and everytime got same answer). Now I switched to garmin, I really like the sleek design, and big and bright screen, easy of use. But there's some features I miss on my magellan, like the quick spell, the route exclusion, etc. But considering the customer service, I don't regret at all. Hightly recommended.

Strengths: Good sized, beautiful screen. Detailed Maps. Slow to lock on to satellites
Weaknesses: Slow to lock on to satellites. Does not include carrying case.
Summary: It comes with everything that you absolutely need to bring this in your car, but they were a little too cheap to include a carrying case. It isn't a big issue because you can buy one somewhere else, but it would have been nice if they would have included it. This GPS is very nice. It is a little slow to lock on to satellites initially when you start your trip, but after that, it is amazing. I use it in the car and it is quite reliable, very easy to use and great GUI.
