Strengths: Very good for basic GPS

Weaknesses: No Features - I added memory and still could not play MP3s or do anything else with it. Bluetooth does not allow phone conversations.

Summary: No Features - I added memory and still could not play MP3s or do anything else with it, the slot for additional memory should be removed because it is useless. Bluetooth does not allow phone conversations.

Strengths: Very user frendly and easy set up for navigation. 3rd GPS I have owned, last one also Tom Tom not too many user changes

Weaknesses: Trying to get a email answer is impossible support about the same. Doesn't want to interact with computer to download any updates at all. Get no support other than their FAQ section.

Summary: My older TomTom used Nav-5 and this one is Nav-6, but many mistakes on 6 that weren't on Nav-5. Very disappointed to not be able to really use TomTom Home as they say it can be used. Support won't answer any questions on helping with this either. Still All-in-All I guess I would buy another if it failed and stumble through it with what it has to offer. Strengths: Ease of use

Weaknesses: Maps are out of date

Summary: The Tom Tom One XL has a nice user interface. Easy to use and figure out. The software had problems when I tried to update from my home PC, but I got it to work with my work PC. Support was friendly, but still has not been able to fix my problem.I live in a new development, but my street has been around for 4 years, and it is still not on the latest map. After 30 days, you have to pay $80 for a new map. If Mapquest and Google Maps know my street, so should this expensive service.

Strengths: good GPS, fast, easy navigation.

Weaknesses: Terrible support. Web site is only geared to selling, support is very week. Their PC software cause problems on the unit. Still strying to get to communicate with support

Summary: Based on my experience with their support, will not recommend the unit. If experience is only based on the unit I would highly recommend. Since overall, its a 4 out of 10

Weaknesses: Won\\\\'t pair to Bluetooth phone, navigation is weak, display layout could be more intelligent, doesn\\\\'t speak road and highway names

Summary: Yes, I know how to pair a Bluetooth device -- I\\\\'ve done it a few dozen times -- and this unit wouldn\\\\'t pair to my phone. Also, it doesn\\\\'t speak upcoming road names like comparable units -- you have to buy the

Strengths: Large clear picture. Easy to read graphics. Concise verbal instructions.

Weaknesses: The windshield mount could use some work. While using the defroster (Heat) it has a tendency to fall off.

Summary: Overall this is a great little device. I had a TomTom One prior to this unit and I loved it. For the price you can't beat it. The larger screen of the XL makes it a little easier to see what is going on at a glance.

Strengths: Easy to use, basic, no crazy extras, works well, big screen, GREAT PRICE

Weaknesses: Takes a day to learn, not super techy

Summary: I have 4 Garmin products at work and the fat units work great, I am not so impressed with the longevity of the Nuvi. This Tom Tom works great, is easy to use, and great for your basic user. I am the guy who likes his cell phone to make and receive calls, his GPS to get him where he wants him to go, and his computer to receive internet. I DON'T want my GPS making calls, my cell phone getting internet, and my computer having built in GPS... I want a camera, to, you guessed it, take pictures, not my cell phone taking pictures, if you agree with me you may like the Tom Tom XL. If not, go drop a load of money and you can get your pictures to be viewed on your GPS, good luck. Chris

Strengths: great mapping and nice looking unit

Weaknesses: N/A

Summary: I've used a TomTom for a couple of months now. I definitely recommend it. They have a very accurate mapping provider and they are definitely top of the line in the GPS arena. If accurate maps and making it to your destination easily are important to you then I recommend this unit.

I would definitely recommend this to any driver - being lost is the worst and can be avoided with the TomTom ONE XL.

Strengths: Wide screen, easy to use. No bugs or issues with hardware. Very easy to update.

Weaknesses: A lil heavy, but not a big deal

Summary: When I started using this I wasn't sure I needed it, but I was really wrong. Not only do I never get lost again, but it also managed to trim 15 minutes off my morning commute. Outstanding value as far as I'm concerned.

Weaknesses: Doesn't do my taxes.

Summary: I've been using one for a few months now, and it's really been great. The wider screen is great for people like me who cant see anything as is. It's really easy to use (my computer illiterate mother even gets it working). Best of all it cut 20 minutes off my morning commute giving me an alternate route. Works great in city areas too.

Strengths: Widescreen, user-friendly, great visual display, good (and clear) audio quality, and the free online updates is a plus.

Weaknesses: Short battery life, GPS signal is weak when used in an urban location

Summary: This is my first time purchasing a GPS and so far using TomTom One XL has exceeded my expectation, from the widescreen to the clear and concise audio directions has made traveling a little more exiting. The widescreen really help seeing the menu screen and directions without hassle while clear audio has help me keep my eyes on the road without needing to look at the GPS while driving. I've been using TomTom One XL for a few weeks now and the only disappoint is the short battery life and the signal strength. Everytime I drive to an urban location like Downtown Chicago or NY City (possibly because of the many tall buildings...) GPS signal becomes weak and the screen displays the map in a spinning motion, confusing me while driving without a sense of direction. But the good thing about TomTom One XL is that it works really well in suburban areas and it sure helps when I'm lost on the street while to pride to ask for directions...
