Strengths: nice portable size, good voice directions, easy to use, plenty POIs, nice visual mapping, uses NAVTEQ mapping
Weaknesses: sometimes it takes a while to obtain a satellite signal
Summary: First used this on our California vacation. The very first day, it wouldn't get a satellite signal. Don't know what the problem was because we made sure it was charged up beforehand, so unfortunately, we didn't have a backup map and relied mainly on our instincts and road signs. But, after that, we tried it again the next day of our vacation. It took a while to obtain the signal, but when it did, it worked quite well. We liked the voice directions and it got us to our destinations. It was handy to have the POIs to help us find eateries. All in all, it is a good device to have, but it might be good to have a map just in case you don't get satellite reception.
