Strengths: Excellent multitasking capabilitiesExcellent Camera qualityVery stable OSGood GPS and AGPS
Weaknesses: UI is not as well thought out as Sony Ericsson UIBattery life is averageMicroSD slot cover is flimsy and inconvenientVideo quality though at 30fps but not as smooth as Sony ericsson's K850.
Summary: This is my first Nokia. I have been using mostly Sony Ericsson. I chose this mainly for the VGA 30fps video and xenon flash. OS: Very stable OS. Multitasking capability is excellent. Phone call always takes priority. I could run any applications and still would not have problem calling or receiving calls. Also, while on a phone call (even with speakerphone on), I could still use the camera to take video with no interruption to the phone call. UI: UI is not as user friendly as SONY ERICSSON. A lot of times, you need to do a lot of redundant key presses or pressing through menu options to do frequently used function. Icons and folders are inefficiently grouped. E.g. These is a folder called "tools" and then within Tools, there is another folder called "utilities". And it took me almost a month to remember which apps are under "tools" and which apps are under "utilities". And then there are apps such as "zip" , you would think it belongs to either tools or utilities, but in fact it is stored under a folder called "office". Luckily, you can regroup the apps into different folders. But still it's too time consuming to regroup them. Little things like showing the time of the received SMS requires pressing through menus when it could have been just shown by default as part of the sms message screen. Battery Life: Battery life is average or below average. If you surf wifi and made a few calls it would only last a day or even less. And the batery gauge is not linear. The 7th bar (full bar) is depleted the slowest. When you have 4 or 5 bars left, it can deplete even faster even just on standby. The problem is you need to be aware how much you use the phone to prevent running out of juice before the end of the day. GPS: GPS is good. Fixing on a satellite usually takes 1 minute or less, thanks to the AGPS feature. i also like how Nokia make excellent use of GPS with free apps like Sports Tracker and also the geotagging of pictures. Camera: Still shots are wonderful. Response is fast, white balance is typically accurate. Shutter lag is on par with compact camera. Xenon flash is a big plus. Video recording is a bit disappointing. 640x480 resolution is good. But the claimed 30fps is not that good. You can see that it jitter every now and then as if the phone is waiting for the camera to flush the buffer to memory before it can continue to record (this happens for phone memory or memory card). So the movie looks like it freeze a little every few seconds. In this regard, the video is not as fluid as the 320x240 30fps of Sony Ericsson. Nevertheless, this video quality is still one of the best though it's not perfect. The antishake feature is a gimmick and makes the video even worse. Summary: Despite some imperfection in the UI and video's fluidity, I love this phone for what it's capable of. You can do pretty much all all the things you can think of . Feature set is probably surpasses that of iPhone, but it's definitely not as user friendly as iPhone. If you are a techie, I think you'll love this phone, otherwise, you may find this phone not as user friendly or difficult to use because of all the features.

Strengths: Awesome 5mp auto focus camera;640x480 video;Great voice command/dial;Great 16 million color display that is visible under sun light;Symbian OS allows for loads of software, mods, and hacking; etc
Weaknesses: Built-in GPS chipset is poor. Take long time to acquir and not as sensitive. Hate the microUSB port.1050mAh battery runs down easily under heavy use.Can not use xeon flash as flash light.
Summary: Got it to replace the Samsung G600. No regret so far: The camera/lens/flash/auto focus/video is top notch. Blows the G600 out of water in term of clarity, shuttle speed, and ease of use. I love the voice dial/command feature of Symbian OS/NOKIA. This make my phone truely "hands-free" and super easy to use. What good is hands free if one has to pay attention to find and dial the contacts. The default voice recognition is pretty good. Symbian OS powered means it has a huge library of software availiable and easily modded. I have already changed the product region code so that I can get my desired foreign language support/display. A piece of cake. Gotta love it. Nokia software is easy to use and manage. Easily sync'd up with my PC. Easily upgraded. Love the 3.5mm standard headphone port. No more adapters. It is fast becoming standard on all music phones. The built-in gallery viewer (pictures) is great. Fast and well organized. The MP3 player is good. It will auto search and sync its own library every time if you changed your music files. Oh, the sound is pretty good too. The included wired stereo headphone/hands-free is the best one I have used so far. Its built-in wifi chipset is good. So is its browser. Just about any web page will be displayed correctly. I have configured it to use it as my mobile skype phone, world weather update, etc... Nokia Map, once downloaded, will give you a driving/walking direction. Handy for emergency use. I think of it as a nice perk. Now, let's get to the area that can be improved: 1. How about installing the awesome Sirf Star III GPS chipset instead of whatever chipset used? 2. Nokia N95 8GB has the popular mini USB port, but why does N82 has the funky micro USB port instead? My PC is already full with all sorts of USB cables. Any chance of reduction will be helpful. 3. The OEM 1050mAH battery is decent, but not strong enough for such an power hungry PDA/MP3/camera/camcorder/MP4 player/phone. It will be nice to pack something more powerful like 1600 or higher. I would not even mind if the battery portion bulged a bit. 4. It would be SO useful if I can use the Xeon flash as flash light. That would be sweet. But perhaps its power drain and heat is the factor blocking its use in such a way. Bummer. 5. If you are a text messaging fiend, then I do not think this phone is made for you. It will do fine, but not the best I have used. My old Sony-Ericsson is better.

Strengths: camera, xenon flash, camera cover
Weaknesses: price, looks, SIZE and weight
Summary: It's not a phone it's all in one mobile device. Preferred over the fancy n95 since this guy has a strong flash which works very well. The bad thing is its looks and cheap design which doesn't reflect the price. Well, this is a good and bad thing. Told you it's all in one :)It's definitely a plus size heavy phone which I didn't like at all even though my hands are big. So it is certainly not possible to forget you're carrying it in your pocket.
