Strengths: Broad coverage and stable connection, cheap
Weaknesses: Looks roughly made. The manual is too simple.
Summary: I used this router to replace my Belkin wireless G router. The USR is small but gives very strong signal for 50 feet! I always lost the signal before when I used the Belkin. The connection is really stable, not like someone else said it would reboot 3 times a day. My old Belkin has to be rebooted every 2 days to avoid freezing but definitly not this one. The design of the signal lights are cool too.Don't know if it can be an wireless access point with print server by disabling the DHCP.The user's guide only give 3 pages (English), which is too simple to cover every details and you have to visit their website to get the help.

Strengths: Cheap, Fancy looking, router works great
Weaknesses: Manual is nothing, Basic print server function
Summary: I bought this cheap router from Compusa. I planned to use it as a print server for my Samsung ML-1740 printer. But I couldnot find any information about how to set up the printer server in the manual from the box. Thanks god their website gives more detailed information. The setup of the router is easy and WPA mode works well. MAXg and normal g both works. The printer was successfully installed by following the online tutorial. But it seems that there's no way you can change the printer location. It can only work as a network printer with http URL! This is totally different from normal print servers, which will create the port for each printer. So it seems that you can only have one kind of this USR printer server in your house. When you turn off the printer and turn it on again, sometimes you will lose the printer connection and you have to reboot the router. For people who has a printer with poor compatibility and you will leave it on for whole day, this is a good one.

Strengths: Easy to install, Good connection, printer server is a plus
Weaknesses: Sometimes printer needs to shut down and restart.
Summary: It is the best comparing with my previous Netgear and Belkin. Just plug in and follow the CD software, click next and next. All installations done in 5 mins. Printer server is easy to use. Never lost wireless connection. All problems happened at the beginning when I turn on printer and computer, the printer won't print until you shutdown and turn on again. and my intel wireless card can't connect to it automatically, have to try it several times, but once it is connected, it won't lose connection. Still recommend it.

Strengths: Printer server, strong signal and coverage
Weaknesses: The installation of printer can be very tricky
Summary: I?ve been looking for a wireless router with printer server for a while. I really like the idea of printing something directly from my laptop without having to turn on my desktop. This U.S. Robotics router provides such function and the price is very affordable. I have one HP officejet 4210(4215) all-in-one printer and I tried to install it on the printer server. As it turned out, the process is not easy. The instruction on USR website is very clear. However, the ?add printer? wizard cannot recognize the inf files on the driver CD. It failed many times. I tried something like updating the windows driver list, run setup from CD, or even use other HP drivers as substitution. But none of them worked. After about 1 hour fail-and-trail, I finally found a way to work around. The solution is like this. First, I connect the printer through USB port and install the driver as normal. Then, I connect the printer to the router and follow the USR instruction until the wizard asks for the driver. The next step is to use any printer driver from windows driver list to finish the installation. Now we have two printers installed in windows. Of course, none of them is really working. Now comes the tricky part. I right click the network printer, select "properties". In the "advance" tab, I change the ?driver? to the correct one (the one installed with usb connection). Then boom, the network printer starts to do its job. I think I shouldn?t blame U.S. Robotics for the installation difficulty. The driver problem is actually originated from HP. Later, I tried a Canon printer and the installation is like a breeze. I got the work done in two minutes. So depends on driver from manufacturer, the job can be very hard or easy. For those of you having the exact problem as l had, I hope this review is helpful.

Strengths: Wireless printing support, Excellent range
Weaknesses: None
Summary: The setup and installation for router was easy. It took just few minutes to setup security and wirless printing from router. Only step i fubbled was with wireless security setting where I missed to copy the encryption key, and so then I have to log on to security settings through desktop using physical connection to retrieve the key and make it wireless. The wireless printing function is great and setup is way to easy. I was surprised when wireless printing was working even when my SBC DSL was switched of. In short I was preety amazed with quality and function of product.

Weaknesses: manual is little bit simple
Summary: I think this is one of the lowest price for wireless router with printer server. Install was easy and runs great. Haven't try multifunction printer yet but is happy now to share my laser printer in the network. For the price, I think this is a good buy.

Strengths: Nice 802.11g print server
Weaknesses: Setup can be difficult
Summary: This looks like a good 802.11g router, but I already have a good 802.11g network with repeaters, etc. I bought this because of the client functionality and the print server. Works great! Now I can get that 802.11b print server off the network so it won't slow down my G equipment!

Strengths: Good coverage. Good w/ ethernet based printers. Good for your $
Weaknesses: customer service isn't helpful. problems with USB printer router recognition.
Summary: This is an overall good buy. It does what it's supposed to which is get you connected to the web. I might not recommend it if you're using different operating systems like I am- I have mac and pc laptops which i'm trying to network.I can't get either of my systems to recognize the USB printers i've connected to the router. I've had a lot of difficulty getting customer service to help me.Out of the four times i've called customer service- only 1 guy seemed to know what he was doing.

Strengths: Support staff first language is english.
Weaknesses: In depth documentation is weak. Doesn't even explain what lights on router are for and when setting options for driver in device manager you are on your own. U.S. Robotics said sorry- that is it.
Summary: I am use to large high price networks with 10,000 plus devices. Perhaps I have too high expection of PC wireless networks. One floor down from router, 15 feet away right below router and I loose connection. IPCONFIG release/renew won't work nor will repair. Must restart windows XP Pro (all SPs and updated). This may happen 2 - 3 times an hour and then won't happen for several hours. Nothing is going like microwave or cordless phone active. Best results by setting speed to 54 and not 125.Outside 30 - 40 feet away is lost cause. I can see a major change at about 30 feet, 25 feet all okay. Thirty feet really bad just won't work.I want detail documentation and US Robotics either don't have it or won't supply it. Seems all documentation for those with no experience.Example is drivers settings via device manager. Must be about 15 and no documentation. Browser interface documentation for router very high level and not much help.Am still debating if I should keep unit or try another vendors. The print server works great and is a nice bonus.

Strengths: Works, pretty flexible, good price (assuming rebates all roll in)
Weaknesses: Can't change printer name (minor nit)
Summary: I have a VERY complex network at my home, with about four sub-nets and 10+ devices. I got this router for three reasons: 1) It had a print server 2) My kids couldn't get the Gameboy DS'es to work with my existing router 3) It was cheapI use this router completely within my home network (the uplink side is on my main network) and I was STILL able to make the print server work so that people on the WAN side could print. Nice.Perhaps I'm easily impressed, since my other wireless router is a fairly crappy Belkin 802.11b (only) router (that router works ok -- never needs to be reset -- but annoyingly the "Disable SSID broadcast" setting does nothing!). But I digress...Anyway, the USR router has been stable for the couple of days I've had it configured. My kids can play Mario Kart DS with people around the globe, so they're happy. My wife (and I, and likely the kids, if I set them up) can print to our Epson Stylus Color 740 with no problem. Wish there was a way to set the name of the printer. The print server is fixed to the name "My_Printer", and I can't find a way to change it (even in Windows XP -- you can't rename it once it's configured). Other than that, seems to work fine.
