Strengths: Dual core, great OC capability, the most important - low price
Weaknesses: NONE
Summary: This CPU is a very overclockable. The comes with 2.1GHz stock speed. If you want to overclock it, this CPU overclocks easily up to 3GHz. This CPU is for budget hunter, but overclocks very well. It's the lower power (brisbane) version, so the power consumption is very low. For around $65, it's really worth every penny you spend.

Strengths: dual core, 65nm design, fast for everyday use
Weaknesses: non
Summary: I was interested in building my first computer from scratch. Trying to get best performance for not a lot of money. This processor gives me several routes that I started exploring. First I'm using it in my HTPC and I can leave the PC on without worries of wasting as much energy as I did with my older PC. I've read other have overclocked theirs and that will be my next project once I "have to upgrade" to a better HTPC system. But for now this processor is a lot faster than my previous 939 socket PC. I was using a Celeron and this one is noticeable faster. Retail version that comes with cooling fan. Looks small but I don't think I need an overclocker's fan when it doesn't get stressed in my current setup. At today's prices, you can buy with your eyes closed and feel good about getting a good value.

Strengths: Runs cool. Overclockable. (Very easily OCed from 2.1G to 2.5G using stock fan and default voltage in my nFoce 570 motherboard) Priced only half of the intel E4XXX series.
Weaknesses: not faster than the Intel Core2 DUO.
Summary: It's a great CPU for those who want to build an affordable PC or HTPC. Yes it's not as fast as the Intel Core 2 DUO E4XXX, even slower than the Dual Core 21XX in Super Pi test. But considering the price of it and its motherboard, it is a great buy. It's capable to handle most of the general works like multimedia playing, word processing, web surfing, etc. You won't notice much difference even compare with Intel Core 2 DUO 6XXX for these applications.

Strengths: Runs very cool, fast, excellent price and overclocks like a beast
Weaknesses: None
Summary: This CPU is awesome. Overclocking is easy. I overclocked it from 2.1 to a 2.4GHz, and plan to overclock it even further. The fan is nice and quiet.

Strengths: AMD quality, energy efficient, 3 year warranty, Dual Core Technology.
Weaknesses: Need after market fan to overclock.
Summary: This is an excellent processor for your medium build computer that you plan to surf the internet, do light gaming or use in an HTPC. With all of the recent offerings from Intel, you'll want to try them for a really heavy duty system, but otherwise, these chips will do just fine. Get yourself a decent after market fan from Cooler Master or Thermaltake and you'll be able to run this processor at 2.4 to 2.6 ghz with no problem at all. And you can do all this with reasonable efficiency. Good three year warranty and dual core technology to boot. You can't beat this processor for a good, all around machine with extra ability if you want to tweak it. I'd rate it a great buy!

Strengths: 65 nm Brisbane dual core, good for OC, inexpensive
Weaknesses: Not known so far
Summary: It gives you a good performance with significantly less money compared to Intel chips. You will get more if you like overlocking. It uses 65nm Brisbane technology so it consumes less power and runs cooler. I have it running in one of my computers all the time and have not noticed a single issue with it. So far I am very happy with the purchase. Highly recommended if you are looking for an upgrade with a small budget.

Strengths: Huge Upgrade, lighting speed
Weaknesses: Retail Fan
Summary: Easy installation, huge improvement over my old athlon 2000+ processor from back in 2000. The CPU runs cool with the retail fan, but I would recommend a new cooler master that you can pick up for cheap to knock off another 5 degrees. Excellent performance combined with the Corsair 2 GB kit. Now I can finally run Windows Vista :-)!!!

Strengths: Great processor
Weaknesses: Not the fastest out there
Summary: Although this is a low end dual core processor I think for my purposes it is enough. I haven't tried over clocking it although I heard people have had success getting more power from this processor then stock.

Strengths: Great value, saves power
Weaknesses: none for the price
Summary: I always go with AMD when DIYing my PC. This CPU is probably the cheapest dual core CPU in the market. I updated from Athlon 3200+ and did see an obvious performance improvement. It is only 65w, saving your electricity. 1000MHz Bus makes it perfect match for fastest RAMs available. I am very happy with AMD products, as always.

Strengths: low price. dual core. Heatsink included. Easily OC-able.
Weaknesses: None
Summary: Though this CPU is priced to sell, it is a good candidate for Overclocker. It runs at 2.1GHz at stock speed. That is enough speed for office work, internet browsing. If you want to squeeze more, this CPU overclocks easily up to 3GHz. You need to increase voltage little bit though. Even with stock voltage, I was able to run it at 2.5GHz stable, which is my current setting. The retail box comes with the heatsink. It runs at 2700rpm at 12V, but it's not that noisy. I use smart fan feature from the motherboard and runs at 1600rpm idle. It's very quiet. Idle temperature was about 40 degrees. This CPU is for budget builder, but performs really well and overclocks easily. Best choice for the price!

Strengths: Dual CoreEfficientHigh OverClocking potential
Weaknesses: Wish AMD could get this core with 2x1MB L2!
Summary: AMD's are always my first choice when upgrading or buidling a system. This one is a Dual Core. Very Affordable Dual Core! Lower power consumption. Very easy overclocking. Was able to reach 2.8GHz on this baby. This is truly bang for your buck processor. Got this from newegg for 65$ and am extremely happy I made the upgrade. Read up some material and did the OC. Piece of cake. My old system can now rest peacefully forever.

Summary: I upgraded the cpu on my Dell Dimension C521 PC from a AMD 64 3200+ to this CPU. I noticed a huge differnce. Windows Vista booted up alot faster and programs run alot faster. I've heard it's a great overclocker also. But Dell computers don't have the option to allow you to overlock so I couldn't test how far I can go with this cpu. Great upgrade for $60!

Summary: Using this to build a HTPC. My current HTPC is a Dell and just runs to hot. With the cool and quiet technology, my new computer should throttle down when not in use...saving money in the process. 65 watts, cool and quiet technolgy...what more can you ask for.

Strengths: Brisbane that loves to overclock and PRICE!
Weaknesses: None at this pricepoint!
Summary: For less than $70 you can own a great overclocking chip. It will overclock at 2.7 on a Arctic cooling alpine 7 cooler. It comparable to chips costin 2-3 times as much at that speed. Other pluses include 65W power consumption, cool n quiet, and did I mention price!

Strengths: 65 nm Brisbane core, good OC capability, runs cool
Weaknesses: none
Summary: Bought this to pair with a Gigabyte GA-MA690-GM-S2H motherboard to build an HTPC. Definitely worth the money as it has a great potential to be OCed. The stock heatsink might be a bottle neck though. So you may need to consider buying an aftermarket one.
