Strengths: Dual Core, 64 bit, 939 pin, 2000MHz. processor interface, 2Mb. of L2 cache, L1+L1 what can I say?
Weaknesses: Zip
Summary: This 4400 is only one step off from the 4800 at 2.2GHz. compared to the 2.4GHz. offered by the 4800. Guess what? That difference is easily overcome with a light 200MHz. overclock if you even want it. That makes up the differences and makes the 4400's lower price very attractive. What is needed, for this Dual Core processor to run at full throttle, is a motherboard and components capable of using it full tilt. 64 bit OS and other software programs are also needed although 32 bit software is still accepted. Once you've picked up on this deal, you need to pick up on a motherboard with a 2000MHz. bus interface, the proper Bios, and the hotest compatible memory you can find within reason. Don't forget you want the better SATA drives (not run of the mill) and a 64 bit OS. That PCI Express card will also be necessary as the better boards will not offer AGP. Power supply? Well, just get one rated 400 watts or better such as Antec offers. A loaded system needs that extra power available to run smoothly and the 4400 needs just under 100 watts alone. Figure on spending over $1000 but under $1500 for a killer system using this chip that will take years to beat in OEM prices for the performance. What will you have? One screamin' fast system like mine if you follow my advice. This thing blew my old XP 3200+ system completely away. It's way faster, quieter, smoother while doing more, and shutting down running apps. to do DVD or CD burning has become non-existent for me.

Strengths: Extremely fast and stable.
Weaknesses: Heatsink w/box is a little loud.
Summary: I've had this processor running for 2 weeks now and I have been nothing but impressed. I have multiple applications running at the same time with very little slow down. Heatsink fan runs a little noisey from time to time.

Strengths: its a high end processor at a reasonable price
Weaknesses: none from my vantage point, but for others its a matter of how extreme they are and the products they want
Summary: As I said in the weakness, truly there aren't any if you an enthusiate like myself. I am just begining to get into how computers work and from what I have researched, this baby is most likely as good as, if not better, than what most people want. Again, get this now, 9/13/05 is the time that I got it. If by the time you read this is already a years past, its still good for those needing a decent processor. This thing, hopefully won't let me down in the year to come, and I don't think I will have to expect any problems. ITs great for gaming and multitasking. I highly recommend it, and as I always say do your homework first, consider it, and I think you'll be happy. BTW, pricegrabber has been great at locating stuff for me. I go to manufacturers sites that still have the rediculous prices and find great deals to compare on PG.

Strengths: Dual Core64 bit
Weaknesses: Price
Summary: I am not using the heat sink/fan that comes with this chip so I can't commit on its cooling efficiency. Instead I am using the Zalman 7700-Cu. Definitely a fast chip. I multi-task all the time between compiling source code, debugging, running large databases, surfing the internet, and playing games. This chip doesn't cause a bottleneck for any of my applications. Expensive but worth it.

Strengths: SO far this processor is amazing.
Weaknesses: havent found any yet
Summary: I choose this processor because of the large cache and speed. I wanted something that I could multitask with and not have to worry about delays. This is the first dual core processor I have ever used and so far its great. I do suggest that you use silcone when installing it. It seems to run a little hot, but all in all this is an amazing processor.AMD 64 X2 4400A8N-SLI motherboard(2) Raptor 74GB 10000RPM Raid 0Dell 24" MonitorThermaltake V5000A CaseHardcano 12 Fan controller Corsair XMS PRO 2GBeVGA GeForce 6600GT 128MB PCIe w/DVI/TV-OUT
