Strengths: small, easy to hook up, great price

Weaknesses: the BIG weakness is poor print quality for black and white...a bit fuzzy...color not bad but text quality is poor.

Summary: The text quality is poor which essentially makes the printer unacceptable or marginally acceptable. Has some nice features such as size, great price for a laser printer and wifi access is great on a home network. Unfortunately, the text print quality is poor which makes you want to take this back and get something else.

Strengths: Size, reliability, Price

Weaknesses: No single-sheet manual feed ( for envelopes, cards), but for the price, you can't expect that

Summary: Dollar for dollar you get twice as much machine from Samsung than from the likes of HP and Brother, with their "pricey consumables model". Samsung is comitted to good value on the purchase price, and good value on the ongoing consumables. They give you four 2/3 full cartridges which outweighs the cost of the printer altogether.

Strengths: Fast printouts.Warranty - Parts: 12 months Labor: 12 monthsAcceptable starter cartridges

Weaknesses: None so far

Summary: The "World's Smallest Color Laser Printer" as Samsung likes to call it is a compact and stylish little thing. It uses NO NOIS technology makes it quiet as well. Averaging 4 ppm color and 17 ppm coverage is impressive especially when graphics come out at 2,400 x 600 effective dpi. It comes with starter cartridges which yield 1,000 pages K and 700 pages CYM cartridges, it's more than sufficient for the home user. With occasional sales at large office supply stores pricing this at 129.99 with free shipping, color laser printing is finally within reach of the home user. Samsung has a good reputation in the printer line and is becoming an economical competitor to the pricier HPs.

Strengths: Inexpensive for a color laser printer, modest footprint, easy toner replacement, sleek black color.

Weaknesses: Paper tray is small, finicky, and sticks out; color prints are adequate but not outstanding.

Summary: I mostly print black-and-white stuff, so I wasn't interested in buying a color laser printer until I discovered this model. Not only is it surprisingly affordable, it's also smaller and more aesthetically pleasing than most other printers on the market (i.e., ugly plastic beige boxes). Samsung has also introduced a new front-loading toner cartridge system that makes it easy to replace any of the four toner modules (black, yellow, magenta, cyan). The only thing I don't like about this printer is the paper tray. It's small (holding maybe 100 sheets or so) and sticks out 3-4 inches from the body of the printer - something that's hard to see from the manufacturer's pictures. Color prints are okay, but you can tell they're from a budget laser printer (i.e., somewhat crude looking).Despite these drawbacks, I'm pleased with this printer and would recommend it to others.

Strengths: cheap, compact

Weaknesses: consume too much power?

Summary: i bought this printer because it's relatively cheap in all color printers. also , it's of small footprint. about the noise, it's ok. but it seems that it consumes a lot of energy: when it's working, the light balls are trembling. another con of this printer is the lack of color levels. for office use it's still enough.overall, it's a good cost/effectiveness one to buy.

Strengths: quiet operation, consistent laser print quality, no clogged inkjet nozzles to clean.

Weaknesses: taller than an inkjet

Summary: After seeing most of the ink for my inkjet cartridges go to cleaning the nozzles due to infrequent printing, I decided it was time for a change. I couldn't believe I could get a color laser printer for under $200, but this machine runs great and is quieter than my Epson photo inkjet. Setup was a breeze, even on a networked USB device server, (which I also recommend for a home with multiple computers, since you can also set up a storage server.) I have a few other Samsung products, and the quality and value are great. Toner cartridges are about $45 apiece, but they are good for 1000 pages (color) and 1500 pages (black). I know I never came close to the ~370-540 page yield of the inkjet cartridges because they only had a 6 month shelf life once opened.
