Strengths: Reliable, durable and lifetime use
Weaknesses: no weakness as for me
Summary: The feature I liked was the Ethernet port and duplex printing. This way, there is no need to have the printer server. I also like the Toner Save mode that i can extend the cartridge life up to 40% with its monthly duty cycle of 30,000 pages.

Strengths: Fast,compact, Ethernet port.
Weaknesses: If you have to pay msrp at $200, it's not cheap.
Summary: Got if for $40 a Office Depot.Shaked the toner cartridge 4 times side-ways, pluged it and it was ready to go.Plug the USB cable in first just to test it, Windows Vista found the driver by it self.Next switched over to Ethernet, used the CD that comes with printer. It finds the printers IP address over the network with ease. One click on next and after 2 minutes on each computer in the house and anyone can print without having a host-pc turned on.Samsung makes great products and this is one great printer from them.

Strengths: Duplex support, network ready, native 1200x1200 dpi support, fast 30ppm speed, 32MB ram, USB2.0 support.
Weaknesses: High replacement cost for toner. Ram is either 32MB or 160MB, nothing in between. Paper always goes through 2 passes, even though you're only printing 1 page.
Summary: I've been waiting YEARS for a low cost printer with features like double-sided printing and network capability. This is the best printer upgrade/replacement for the house yet! Gone are the days I have to manually re-feed the paper to print on the back sides. The entire home network can finally share a printer without having one of the systems always turned on. Hooked it up to my router, assigned it a static IP and it was ready to go. Print speed is noticeably faster than lesser models. Quality is sharp for both normal and toner saver mode. Only one thing that bugs me: every page goes through 2 passes even though you're only printing a single side document. As long as duplex mode is on, this is the way it is. No big deal really, just thought the logic of it could be better implemented. RAM can be only upgraded to 160MB with certain 128MB SO-DIMM modules. That's no big deal either since I'll probably never have reason to upgrade.Starter toner is a 2000pg cartridge. Not bad considering lesser printers only have 1000pg ones. The high-yield replacement toner (5000pg) is pretty high priced; from $80-100 last I checked. Hopefully they will eventually come down a bit in the near future. But i'm willing to spend for this printer since I know it's a definite keeper for all its features and capabilities. Grab it if you see it on sale! Highly recommended.

Strengths: Network capability; Fast printing speed
Weaknesses: Have to dispose old printers still working great.
Summary: This is my first network laser printer and after a couple of weeks experience I love it. The network function makes my home printing via the router itself possible and it's not necessary to power on the 2nd computer just for sharing its attached printer. The cartridge cost should not be a serious issue since it's not difficult to refill at all.

Strengths: Duplexing, Footprint, Quality, Network-Ready
Weaknesses: none, toner cost perhaps.
Summary: It's a nice little printer. Like other Samsung laser printers I own it has a small footprint, prints reliably and looks good. The duplexing is a plus although I admittedly use it rarely. 1200x1200 printing capability w/ TonerSave for everyday printing are pluses also.

Strengths: DUPLEX ! Network ready, fast printing, toner save mode
Weaknesses: Toner is expensive (refill !),
Summary: I have a ML-2010 for 2.5 years that I refilled the same cartridge o it 3 times and it is still going strong, before I found a deal on this ML-2851ND and decided to buy. I have always loved Samsung printers as they make a strong printer. This unit is fast, compact, networkable and reliable. What more could you ask for ? OK then it has duplex also. Amazing unit. Only drawback is the price of the toner, but I will refill like I did my other Samsung for pennies. Highly recommended device.

Strengths: Perfect small business or home laser printer. This thing has great print quality and duplex in such a small package.
Weaknesses: Hard to find toner. May be difficult to even find re-fills, so may have to use original toners.
Summary: Network functionality is great for PC and Macs. It does a great job with printouts with 1200x1200 dpi B&W prints. Hard to find something that can stand up to this. PC Mag just gave this an Editors Choice - and I back that up too. It's a great machine and quite the work horse for short time I've had it. No regrets with this purchase, you won't either.

Strengths: Speed, ease of setup, duplex printing, works on both Mac & PC
Weaknesses: Color would be nice. :-)
Summary: I picked up this printer to replace an old inkjet, and have been very pleased. It's dramatically faster than the inkjet of course. I'm very pleased with its small size, and it had the two features that I wanted most (duplex printing to save paper, and networking for ease of setup).I'd been an all-Windows house, but we've recently gotten Mac laptops from work, so the Mac/PC compatibility was a good feature as well. Setup on both OSes was very easy.I'll admit a big part of my satisfaction is that I got it on clearance for a pittance, but it's a nice functioning printer, and if you can find it for a good competitive price relative to similarly-feature competitors, I'd recommend it.
