Strengths: Price Scanning
Weaknesses: memory card slot, cable, Fax ink cost.
Summary: Scanner and copy quality function is great. PictBridge printing is not good. In photo quality, Epson HP is better then canon. Easy in use instalation. Use canon photo paper for better performation.

Strengths: The scanner and copy functions work flawlessly. The printer does a good job but I prefer the ip 4000 for printing color photo's.
Weaknesses: Ink usage
Summary: Purchase of this printer is a "no-brainer" for first time users and anyone with a restricted budget. The cost of the replacement cartridges will exceed the cost of the printer after just 2 instances of cartridge replacements.Otherwise a great printer for the price

Strengths: Great photo printing, PictBridge for quick printing, excellent scanning.
Weaknesses: Scanner design.
Summary: This is a wonderful, quality printer. It produces exquisite photos and scans. The only problem I have with it is that it is slightly slanted so when you are trying to scan, the pictures slide around. You can always fix this by putting something under the front. Maybe I am missing something though... Overall it's a good printer for the price, especially after rebates.

Strengths: good build quality and finish, convenient pictbridge for photo printing, fast printing speed
Weaknesses: lack of memory slot
Summary: I got this printer with a Canon camera, therefor after the bundle rebate the printer will be free. However, the quality of the printer is far better than those free after rebate item if you ask me. So far I basicly use it for photo printing, and it gives me excellent photos. Considering it can also be used for scanning and copying, it's definitely a great purchase.

Strengths: Sleek look, nice upgrade for your printing needs, great price, fast printing.
Weaknesses: I wish it had a fax. White?
Summary: I am using this printer as a replacement for my old HP Officejet 4110 that had recently begun printing blurry letters so that you could barely read it. This printer prints much better, and although it came free with my PC, I would still recommend it for anyone who is shopping around for a new printer. It has great printing/scanning software, and the printing speed is fantastic! 22 pages per minute (that's 10 whole pages faster than my old one!) I believe that if you need a good printer for the price that can do many things, you should buy this printer from a trusted imaging company, Canon.

Strengths: it's very reliable and durable.
Weaknesses: starter inks don't last long
Summary: Good quality printer. It's AIO version which makes things very easy. Even if you run out of ink, you can still use it as scanner. So far it works perfectly very reliable and durable. Print quality's great. Above all, it's not expensive at all.

Strengths: Great Starter, inexpensive, good compatible inks, All-in-one design
Weaknesses: none at this price point, well, maybe the tri-color ink cartridge vs. individual colors. But, again, it's cheap!
Summary: nobody includes a USB cable lately, so I didn't expect it. Good prints. Decent scanning. and the price can't be beat. I've owned many canon cameras and printers over the years. I continue to be amazed by their quality. I use some of the better compatible inks out there and the quality is still fine. Great purchase. Thanks Canon!

Weaknesses: 1. Not teh greatest scanner2. Adapter for negatives not present.3. No Memory Slot
Summary: This is a good starter printer from Canon. The scanner works well (not the greatest). The printer quality is good. I wish they had a memory slot for this printer. This is a agreat value for a ALL IN ONE

Strengths: scan/copy/print in 1, inexpensive, quality sems good to me
Weaknesses: no USB cable provided, no memory card reader
Summary: I got this printer with a new desktop to replace an old HP deskjet. This printer is fast compared to that deskjet but it was from 2000. I use it to print documents and quality looks good to me for that. I haven't tried printing a picture with it so I can't comment on the quality of that. This printer is great for the price, you can pick it up almost for free with rebates and for everyday printing it does fine.

Strengths: Large scanning bed; Copier can be used without connecting to computer first;4" x 6" borderless photo print; good price after rebate with purchasing Digital Camera
Weaknesses: Color ink all in one cartridge: entry level of photo printer; USB cable is not included in the box.
Summary: I got this printer with Canon PowerShot SD1000 digital camera and it is good price after rebate with purchasing Digital Camera. It comes with 2 cartridge (Black and Tricolor) so it is the entry level photo printer. If you just consider the price, it is good all-in-one printer for the price. Cartridges are not expensive and good scanner quality.

Strengths: price (for what i paid)
Weaknesses: none consider it's an entry-level photo printer
Summary: I bought it together with a Canon digital camera for esentially free after rebates. It serves its purpose of an entry-level photo printer. Quality is so-so, speed is not fast, but again, if you just print casual photos from time to time, it'll be a good fit.

Strengths: Easy to install, good price, printing quality Ok, multi-function
Weaknesses: Slow printing speed, ink ran out very quickly
Summary: I got this printer for only $50 after rebate, so it was really a good buy price-wise. The speed is pretty slow, but the printing quality is fair. I like the fact that it can be used for scan and copy also. I don't use this printer quite often, and I found that the ink does run out very quickly. Overall I am satisfied with the performance so far in considering of the money I paid. If you are looking for a high-end printer, then go find something else.

Strengths: cheap
Weaknesses: not as good as others
Summary: The quality of this printer is not as good at Epsons. I compared the photos pritned by this printer and Epson R260. I found that Epson's photos are sharper and more colorful. The printing speed is ok, but not so fast. The copy function is limited. No zooms. It is an ok printer, but not excellet in general. The good thing is it is a cheap pritner, although the ink is expensive.

Strengths: All in One plus Photo printer

Summary: It is a cheap printer with all functions. It prints ok photos and is ink efficient. I used this printer to print so many photos but there are still inks. It makes my life much easier with all in one functions and photo printer.

Strengths: cheap, fairly good
Weaknesses: No memory card slots, no FAX capability
Summary: I bought this as part of a combo deal. It is a fairly good entry level AIO, though not the fastest kid in the block. The printer supports PictBridge to print directly from compliant cameras, but does not have a memory card reader. Unlike a lot of other AIO this does not have a FAX feature. With 20-20 hind-sight I think MP470 is a better choice, specially since, it was selling for almost the same price.
