Strengths: Excellent pictures and Customer Support

Weaknesses: not able to use a roll of paper

Summary: Finally Cannon has a high end printer that competes with theEpson Stylus R2400 that uses archival pigment inks. The prints are beautiful, an excellent choice for professionals who don't need to use a format wider than 13". I'm hoping that they will come out with a roll adaptor to use roll paper. The ink is lasting longer than I expected. Now that I have committed to a professional printer there is a learning curve to color balancing my monitor and using paper profiles. Very easy to set up and use. I recommend it!! I switched over to Canon because Epson has such poor customer support. It cost more than the Epson but well worth. (The people at Canon know their products and are willing to help.)

Strengths: Huge Prints, great color, easy to use

Weaknesses: Not many paper options and time of printing

Summary: Its big and heavy but i think worth the extra 200 or so $ over the pro9000. Prints las longer and look a little nicer. You'll def need some room for this puppy to work though. Its a tough choice over epson and others but great quality. If you're only a hobbiest i'd just buy your bigger prints online but if you're a pro thats printing a portfoio or lots of prints for a show or just sale you'll save some money in the long run.
