Strengths: Easy to use; lightweight

Weaknesses: Price

Summary: As a long-time Mac user for home/personal computer use, I prefer the ease of the Mac platform to the more cumbersome and virus-prone PCs I use at work. The MacBook is easy to use and comes with useful programs such as iPhoto and iMovie. Free classes are offered at the Apple retail stores and they're a great way to get an overview of the computer's applications.

Strengths: Can run both Mac AND Windows operating systems.Fairly thin profile.~5 pounds. Many programs included!

Weaknesses: No phone modem connection. No media card reader. No video adapter cords included.More expensive than PC counterparts.

Summary: Being a PC user my entire life, it took a lot of contemplation and research before I finally agreed to convert to a Mac. I've had my Mac for 3 days now and although it does take some time getting used to the new operating system (I still have the habbit of looking for an "X" in the upper right corner to close programs/windows), most of the controls are surprisingly quite intuative. I love the fact that the Mac comes with a lot of fully-functional programs (video editing, music, chat, photo, web, etc.) and not just trial versions like what comes in many PC bundles. Another thing that sold me on a Mac is its capability of running both the Mac OS and Windows, making it a truly versatile machine. I haven't even scratched the surface of what this little powerhouse is capable of doing and I am excited to continue to learn all of its capabilities and functions. Overall, I am very satisfied with my purchase and I would not hesitate to reccommend a Mac to any potential laptop buyer!

Strengths: smart, simple handling, great design

Weaknesses: the price

Summary: After looking around for a new notebook I decided to get a macbook - my first apple ever... yesterday it arrived - unpacked, started and... wow!!! It's great: I will call this love at the first sight! As using windows PCs for years I could not longer imagine to get back to my "old" windows notebook. It is indescribable - the handling is very easy, the set-up assistant implements you through the first steps and from then on you have a lot to discover - it is a big difference to a windows PC even if the price is a little bit oversized... I think you get what you pay for - an excellent product! I love it!
