Strengths: decent performance, very affordable price

Weaknesses: none so far

Summary: very nice entry level 15.4" laptop. It comes with AMD dual core CPU, 1GB RAM, 120GB hard drive. It yields decent performance for regular web browsing, daily program use. The LCD looks pretty nice too. The built quality of this laptop is fairly solid too.Overall it is good bang for the buck.

Strengths: Good Price, Easy to Use, Nice Looking 15.4-inch Widescreen

Weaknesses: Not Enough Memory for Vista

Summary: This laptop is really a great value for the price I paid for it. The machine is nicely built with the adequate storage (120 G), 802.11b/g Wi-Fi, 15.4" WXGA BrightView Widescreen display, and LightScribe DVD Burner. It runs ok with Vista Home but it would be nice to have 2G of memory instead of 1G that is on the system. After a month of use, there is no problems so far. The performace has been reliable. I would recommend it for anyone looking for a decent notebook computer!

Strengths: Big screen 15.4 inch, keyboard and mouse is easy to use.

Weaknesses: The mouse pad is difficult to move around.

Summary: The price of this notebook Presario F730US is really lowest price compare to any other store selling. It still sale $459. After $30 rebate, the final price is $429. Also, this computer come with all office. Great deal that any other computer can't match this price with office together.

Strengths: Reasonable price, good parts, widescreen, light weight.

Weaknesses: None!

Summary: I bought this notebook computer for my grandaughter for her first semester in college. For most people this would be a bare bones computer, but when you compare the specs with that of $1000 notebook computers you'll find the same processor, hard drive, DVD burner and chipset. One GB or RAM may seem a bit light but once you do a few performance tweaks on Windows Vista, dump the Norton Internet Security and put on just antivirus software, it's a runnin' machine! Go to Compaq's site, look up the computer and click on performance. They provide a very easy to follow set of instructions. With the wide screen and more conventional keyboard the computer is a pleasure to use. And it's not that heavy either. It has an s-video out so you can plug it into a conventional TV and all the other standard ports you'd expect, including 3 USB ports. And the video card is sufficient for gaming and movies too! This notebook can do just about every thing you need to do and nothing you don't!

Strengths: Powerful which it has 1G Memory and 120G Hard driver.

Weaknesses: It is heavy if you don't mind.

Summary: Overall, I will give 99% of satify for this laptop. It really powerful and give me a lot of storage space. Price also is cheap. If you purchase from Staples, it only sales around $420-$620.

Strengths: Cheap price, get it for sub 400 with coupons and rebates from Staples

Weaknesses: Companq installed too many junk software it tooks long long time before you can even working on the computer

Summary: Nice one if you can get it under 250 bucks.WiFi connection and speaker sounds great.Touchpad is not as quick and as easy to use compare to IBM style. Keypad looks so so, feel kind of heavy in hands.Good for internet browsing.Thermal mangament seems better than acer computers. But the fan still quite loud once it is turned on.

Strengths: 5.4" BrightView widescreen, LightScribe DVD burner, dual core processing, Broadcom wireless card, good speakers

Weaknesses: Vista!!! Lack of ExpressCard or Firewire ports, installed RAM is in two 512 SO-DIMM's, battery life could be better

Summary: Too much bloatware pre-installed on it. Good machine for a college student, especially if you can grab one on sale. MSRP isn't that bad either. Nice one year warranty.

Strengths: Reasonable price, fast

Weaknesses: none

Summary: F730us uses AMD Athlon 64x2 dual core CPU TK-55. Based on the number 55, it should be better than TL-50, and TL-52 since it is based on 65nm tech. The power consumption is also lower than 90nm tech which is used in TL-50 and TL-52. After I used it for one week, I can say it worth my money. The only disadvantage is that it does not have hp's imprint case, guess hp marketing it as low end laptop.
