Strengths: Very nice display, bright and fast.

Weaknesses: The DVI input doesn't work. Speakers are whimmpy and tinny.

Summary: We purchased five units and none monitors will see a digital signal on its DVI input, VGA analog input works fine. You can't even bring up the monitor's menu without a input signal. The DVI on the VG930m monitor that 2030wm was to replace works fine.

Strengths: Perfect clerity and functionality!

Weaknesses: After 3 months, I have found no significant weakness in this monitor.

Summary: Fits perfectly in the available space on my desktop and can adjust up/down and swivel side to side. A perfect purchase that I am very happy about making. I'd recommend for any desktop use.

Summary: This is a great budget monitor. I use it for my non-photography needs, and it does very well. It looks good, is bright, and has good Viewsonic quality. I wouldn't hesitate to buy it again.

Strengths: Beautiful monitor. Got it in the mail quick and i am very happy with this. For what i spent on this monitor, it seems like big bang for the buck.

Weaknesses: Back light makes it look a bit cheesy. 6 dead pixels, but were easily massaged in. These are minor gripes at best.

Summary: I think that only a real picky person would have issue with this monitor. That person would probably buy a higher priced monitor anyway though...

Summary: I bought this display to replace a 19" CRT. I am very pleased with the purchase. It looks beautiful at 1680x1050. It is very easy to adjust and has 360 degree pivot. The image quality is also very good scaled down. For gaming, I scaled the resolution down to 1280x768, and it looks great. I have played a few games on it, and had no problems with it at all. In fact, it looks better than the CRT I replaced.The only real issue I have with this display is speaker volume. I connected the speakers to my onboard sound, and the volume was very low, even when turned up to the maximum on both the computer and the monitor. I didn't buy it for the speakers, so it doesn't really affect me.Overall, I think this is a great display as long as you don't need to use the speakers.

Summary: Out of the box, some parts of the screen did not seem totally sharp, but this was easily remedied by choosing "Auto Image Adjust" from the Main Menu. This is the 6th Viewsonic LCD monitor I have purchased for home and business use -- all have been of excellent quality. This model comes fully assembled in the box. No dead pixels. After an $80 rebate, a truly outstanding value.

Strengths: 5ms timing makes movement ultra-smooth, and 800:1 contrast makes colors ultra-vibrant.

Weaknesses: Built-in speakers aren't worth using.

Summary: First of all, this VG2030wm LCD Monitor is 20-inch, NOT 19-inch. I purchased this monitor to replace my ViewSonic VG2021M 20" LCD Monitor with a better widescreen model. With a wider 1680x1050 resolution (same vertically), it's a good replacement. The big change is the better 5ms timing (versus 8ms) which makes gaming and scrolling wonderfully smooth. And the better 800:1 contrast (versus 500:1) makes pictures especially vibrant. The VG2021M was wonderful, but this is SPECTACULAR! This kind of quality usually goes for double the price. And with Viewsonic's 30-day "no dead pixel" guarantee and 3-year warranty, you can't go wrong. I only wish there were a model without speakers, since they're not worth using (too small and powerless). But that doesn't take away from the monitor's excellence. I love it!
