Summary: I have 2 of these monitors. One completely dead in less than a year. The other has gone red after only two years. ViewSonic warranties are worthless.

Strengths: low cost monitor, good resolution
Weaknesses: not digital DVI inputs, weak base
Summary: This is our Fourth ViewSonic Monitor and like the others we love it. This one has a Crystal clear picture, great color resolution and to make this deal sweeter the price was a great price. It comes in a very nice packaging and it is really easy to assemble. Windows Vista recognizes the monitor but the drivers need to be installed. There are two down sides... The first one was the monitor base is weak, but seems to handle the weight of the monitor. The second down side is the lack of DVI input and outputs, but that is not an issue for our home use. This was the best purchase I did in February!

Strengths: Quality product at a great price,3 year warantee, color & contrast better than expected.analog and dvi
Weaknesses: no vertical or horizontal adjustment on base, dvi cable not supplied.
Summary: I have never been a fan of LCD monitors, prefering the benefits of a CRT monitor, albeit at the cost of desk space. However, I recently took the plunge, and purchased the VA2226w @ about $235,after rebate. I am pleasently surprised. The color and contrast (contrast ratio 1000 :1 static)needed very little tweaking out of the box.and the on screen menu choices are plentiful, although there is no Gamma setting control, default is the standard 2.2 for windows.Viewsonic includes this monitor in their "budget" series,so don't expect extras, such as speakers, professional on screen adjustments,or even a dvi cable. But do expect fine quality at a great price.

Strengths: Brightness, clarity, resolution, color rendition.
Weaknesses: No DVI cable included.
Summary: I was a little hesitant about purchasing ViewSonic since I have always purchased Samsung monitors, but read numerous reviews and decided to give one a try. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of this monitor. I am a futures trader so I am constantly looking at numerous charts, graphs, and indicators all day and need very high resolution. The clarity, resolution, and color rendition are great. The wide size monitor lets me spread out my charts for more room. There were no dead pixels and the monitor looks very professional. Make sure you update your video drivers before setting this up and buy a DVI cable for connecting.

Strengths: texts are clear, colors are vivid, contrats are great, right off the box, it will amaze you, mine came with DVI cable
Weaknesses: platicky base but does what it is supposed to do ie to support the monitor
Summary: I have been using AOC 19 " for a year now and thought that an upgrade is now called for. I searched all over the internet for a replacement. SAMSUNG 226BW top the list but reports of panels from other manufacturers other rhan using SAMSUNG panels turned me off. LG was another optiion with fast refresh rate but i dont play games via computer much and a tech guy suggested VIEWSONIC and after internet searching for its pro and cons, i bought it. Out of the box, the monitor immediately blew me away with its clear image quality, clean whites and dark blacks. I am very satisfied with this monitor and recommend it highly to anyone

Strengths: Nicely styled, thin, light weight, bright beautiful images.
Weaknesses: Doesn't come with DVI cable, ~50USD for a good one!
Summary: I was a die-hard CRT user for years because the image was impossible to beat. But now LCD technology is catching up. I still think that a good CRT provides a overall better image that an LCD, the difference is minor. So now I am a die-hard LCD user. This VA2226w was money well spent. I run Windows Vista Ultimate x64 and the Aero interface looks stunning. And "Revenge of the Sith" looked absolutely jaw-dropping through the DVI interface. And the size of this monitor is perfect. I actually think 24" may be just a bit too big for the average desktop user. Even the 22" has me turning my head slightly from left to right (instead of just my eyeballs)to see the whole desktop. 24" would probably be a bit overkill. Besides, for the extra 2", you'll be paying much more $$$ for the 24". I can whole heartedly recommend this monitor to anyone. I'm very pleased with it. PS- the price was very good, too. In fact, the prices drop a bit every week. I bet now you could snag one for ~220USD. A great buy, I tell you.

Strengths: Nice and accurate colors, wide screen size, comfortable viewing
Weaknesses: No DVI cable included
Summary: Originally I have two LCD displays on my desk: a 17 viewsonic and a 17 sony LCDs. Well, that?s over. I am sick and tired of having two displays taken up my deskspace and replaced them with this nice new viewsonic va2266w monitor. The resolution of this display is huge! I can use 1680x1050 and still have very clear picture and adequate viewing sizes in documents! I just wish I had made this switch earlier! It?s just worth every penny and saves me a lot of time from dragging and resizing!I use this monitor solely for photo editing as I am a photographer. The color and contrast of the monitor is very accurate with the help of Huey. So this is something that I can work comfortably in photo editing and retouching. The response rate of the display is also very fast, so far I have not yet to see any ghosting on photos or DVDs on my computer. Both D-Sub and DVI ports are available in this monitor, which is nice. However, be aware of that, the DVI cable is not included. So, when you do get this monitor, make sure you have a DVI ordered along with the monitor.

Strengths: Clear vivid color! This is a great monitor to replace those old CRT montiros that take up a ton of space.
Weaknesses: No DVI cable and this monitor does not swivle left to right.
Summary: Viewsonic is the brand I've come to trust for the last couple of years and they haven't let me down yet. Every Viewsonic monitor I've purchased has looked sharp and I don't think I've had any dead pixels yet. This particular monitor has a great 22" widescreen viewing area which would be great to watch movies on. I purchased this monitor to replace an old CRT monitor and it's a winner, it takes up 1/3 the space and looks so much more vivid. I only wish it came with the DVI cable so I could see if that would make the display clearer.

Summary: Ok, i spent almost two weeks searching for the best lcd monitor for my needs. Scoured the web for reviews and even searched for TFT comparisons b/w TN and P-MVA panels, etc.. check it out. http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/I can't seem to find reviews for new lcd's. So I decided to get the va2226w, one of the cheapest lines of viewsonic lcd's.I am very impressed with the image and text quality. TN or P-VMA does not matter for me anymore. I work 12 hours a day with graphics and text and this model is great.Downside again is that there is no swivel adjustment whatsoever. For videocard compatibility, use the analog connection (d-sub) if dvi connection won't give you an optimized 1050x1680 resolution. I am using fx5500 256mb/128bit.I am writing this review because i was having a hard time looking for one for this specific model. This is my first LCD and am very much satisfied with it. Grab the 22" instead, if you hate viewing large monitors, make your desktop background black and adjust your browser window. Sometimes you need the extra space for viewing and working 2 applications at a time.Salamat.
