Strengths: Size and looks.
Weaknesses: WD site promises software that is in fact a trial version. A cheap trick unworthy of WD. Next time I am adding HD capacity, I will remember this and stay away from WD.

Strengths: Small footprint with larger hard disk space
Weaknesses: Short USB cable
Summary: I previously had Passport Essential 320 GB hard-drive. This one is far better than that one in-terms of design. No more shiny surface with scratches. The supplied USB cable is a little short but for use with laptop during traveling it's perfect.

Summary: This hard drive is worthy of consideration given its compact size, capacity and ease of set up. I have 3 external hard drives, all of which need an AC adapter. Given that the weight of those are quite heavy and the inconvenience of needing a plug, I needed an alternative.
